  • the cost is buried in the ground

  • O my gooood my ears just had an orgasm

  • el principio sin e piano suena como dont care about us de michael jackson jajaja xD

  • This song deserves more views!

  • i juz imagine if portnoy playing the drum for this song...=)

  • Rise up... Be counted

  • Me encanta esta cancion!!! It's the kind of song I love hearing from Dream Theater, all progressive, all epic, all genius... unpredictable!!! I hope the album arrives soon to Ecuador so I can buy it =)

  • toć dobre

  • Ripoff of Strange Déjà Vu.

  • @MlKEPORNTOY YES YOU ARE VERY RIGHT MIKEPORNTOY

  • this is a pretty mind blowing 11 minutes. i'm listening to this on itunes but felt the need to come on youtube and comment on its mind blowingness

  • @FlashingRedLights Likewise

  • Can someone please help me find a tab for the part between 5:53 and 5:58?

  • Dream theater always will be the greatest band of progressive rock.. if you think diferently youre so wrong.

  • @GuitarPartner saying..greatest bands of progressive rock is an opinion, not a fact. You cant forget other musical virtuosos like adagio and old symphony x (to name a couple) ...

  • Nice to have a little more serious drummer than the ex (sometimes clown). This is impressive, need to hear it another 10 times to let it get branded correctly, then I'll determine it's greatness. To me of course, not to anyone else. Music is everyone's personal agenda.

  • @bhbhbh01 So true, a friend told me music like this really has to be listened to more than a couple times to be appreciated fully - which I agree with. It's hard to follow or predict a lot of the melodies and sequences DT uses until you have them memorized. I personally like breaking all illusions the best, especially at the 5 minute mark

  • i love that main riff.

  • ADTOE = I&W + AWAKE + SC + TOT definitively a cu mpilation of DT best works

  • @DANGILBERT03

I'd call it more SFAM + SDoIT + Octavarium. But that's a good one too.

  • Best chorus ever?

  • Really dig this tune, but the solo in the middle was a bit much.

  • That Solo...seriously...What the fuck? haha

  • this is one of the best albums theyve ever come out with

  • Easily the best DT intro of all times...

    Is just pure magic.

  • best album song

  • Just be quiet, close your eyes and listen

  • beautiful...

  • going out to buy ticket to the concert =)

  • OMG MYUNG

  • 6:54 = Amusement park of DEATH

  • 8:43 It's pure magic, my favourite part!

  • Ugh shit I don't wanna go to work right now... esp that I'm listening to this song.

  • Comment removed

  • Not my fav off the album, but it's still awesome

  • Theme song to Occupy Wall Street, amirite guise?

  • 5:58 to 6:06 I think I blew out my speakers blasting it. so badass

  • most of my friends are pre ordering modern warfare 3, i got this album

  • Amazing bass 4:49

  • The ending of this song is EXACTLY like the end of 'Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence' lol

  • @ 8:44, I woke up in a smoky jazz club.

  • I love the part that plays at 4:48-5:04. It's an awesome transition. \m/

  • Liquid Tension Experiment, anyone?

  • @kv9109 Hell yea!

  • 5:40 - 5:58 reminds me of the chaos of Train of Thought

  • remides me a bit of carnival in coal at 4:55 (:

  • probably the instrumental part is the most difficult written by petrucci & co

  • I fucking love 6:29 to 6:38

  • Is it just me or does the part at 6:54 sound exactly like the ending of Contra 4?

  • Amazing 6:25 - 6:38

  • Apparently 2 people are deaf or hard of hearing

  • RISE, ZOMBIE!!!

  • this shit is badass this is my fav song of all TTTTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEE GO DREAM THEATHER *ITCHES

  • some serious instrumental eargasm here! :D

  • New Mike did a really good job on the new album but he's no portnoy

  • @seizetheday177 You're right... He's Mike Mangini :D

  • @seizetheday177 drums parts for this album were already written by Portnoy. On the next album we will be able to see how new Mike is holding on.

  • @zmatokan What??? no they werent... Petrucci wrote them and them discussed with mangini...

  • @Bleedinghart nope

  • @zmatokan The drumming parts were written by a computer program called "Perfect Drummer". Petrucci put in the chords and the machine gave them the drum parts. Mike Portnoy had already left when Dream Theater started the new album.

  • This is like a new version of Metropolis Pt. 1......for me, i dont know XD

  • It's absolutely false

  • @sebisman2

Clearly you don't know. This song is grossly inferior to Metropolis Pt 1. Not that newer Guitar Hero fans like you would know the difference.

  • Comment removed

  • @Brewzkier I'm not a profesional musician, im still learning new stuff every day, but i can underestand pretty much.

  • @Brewzkier Well, he has more intuition than you knowledge. One example.. piano introduction with small drum fills... verse enters with guitar riff over 4/4 drum feel. The 7/8 part just in the beggining of the instrumental part it's very much like Metropolis. I still fucking love the song but the resembleance it's undeniable.

  • @Brewzkier What makes it inferior to Metropolis part 1?

  • @Brewzkier

Why is it that fans like you feel the need to be a complete douchebag to newer fans? You got people who like the same band as you, at least respect that and stop being such an uptight snob.

  • @DisgruntledPorcupine It's the only authority he's ever had in his life and by God he'll be a dick with it if he wants!

    *sarcasm*

  • @DisgruntledPorcupine You just got trolled by a "Progsnob" lol... I got into DT in like 05 and found out about this myself :)

  • @Brewzkier seriously why do you spam dream theater videos with guitar hero references? so fuck if people first heard dream theater on guitar hero, i would of thought its better they hear it from that than not at all?? and the fact that this song technically and musically has similarities to metropolis pt 1 it makes sense to some people that it has the same feel, or are people not allowed to express their own opinions on the music?

  • HELL YEAH (6:54 - 7:09)

  • amazing song..!

  • @jodstasic .... I've never heard an eleven minute song, in this case masterpiece, that was "radio friendly". This is some epic shit right here and so is DT.

  • Screw all the negative comments, I loved this album, and this song in particular is my favorite on it, they've survived without Portnoy, I liked his stuff and the entire band is extremely talented, but he wasn't what made the band, this proves it.

  • @Asoudo33 I agree with you. And don't buy into all the negative comments about MP either. They just have some legal details to work out and my guess is MP has much more astonishing music bottled up inside him (sorry, pun only semi-intended) to record with future collaborators, possibly even JP, and/or JR. DT's new album was worth the wait and I'm looking forward to see what happens musically in this soap opera! P.S. MP's still my favorite drummer

  • This and Lost Not Forgotten had the potential to be one of DTs epics like ACOS and Octavarium. But they chose to go the more radio friendly way.

  • Comment removed

  • now Portnoy gets a lawyer to sue dream theater... of course, They made an epic song without him. He's Feeling stupid right now.

    Dream Theater > Portnoy.

    Ex-Portnoy fan here.

  • @Lafrontain Did he really? lol what a tool

  • @PurdueRules15

Yep. He's saying that the DT members ''excluded'' him from the band. LOL

  • @Lafrontain UPDATE: Ronald S. Beinstock, an attorney for progmetal giants DREAM THEATER, has contacted BLABBERMOUTH(dot)NET to make it clear that there's currently "no pending litigation" between DREAM THEATER former drummer, Mike Portnoy.

In a letter dated Sep 20, Bienstock wrote, "On or around Apr 27 2011, Mr. Portnoy filed a 'Notice With Summons.' This is not a formal complaint. Further, it was never served on any of the named defendants. There is no pending litigation between DT and Mike."

  • @Lafrontain skajdkajdlasd, yeah

  • @Lafrontain although this album is fucking great, we should not forget the amazing drumer that was portnoy, we should not forget all the epic songshe made (a change of seasons )

    long live portnoy

  • @Lafrontain Unless you haven't been keeping up, he didnt sue them at all, it's been confirmed. I feel he should be recognized for his efforts in DT for the past 25 years (same goes for the other members).

  • one of the best song from dream theater EVER. who cares of the negative comments, they truly don't understand what dream theater is

  • if you took al the instrumental sections in the album you got yourself a DT album full of ballads!!!!! all the songs fell like the SAME THING over and over again with way too radio friendly choruses, DT has disappointed SOME of their hardcore fans, and that sucks

  • wow

  • @carnichero Kinda, because for me there are 3 or 4 songs that are really good, the other songs are just the same, they are good but there are THE SAME. I understand what you said

  • Incredible track, great refrain, amazing melodies and an awesome instrumental session! And the lyrics? Fantastic, W ARAB REVOLUTION!

  • @LeMike, You? You did the best comment ever.

  • that is the most heavy yet touching riff ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • I would definetly pee my pants if i were the clown from the cover

  • @Reeahful I'd jump off and free fall onto the plane... Chuck Norris Style

  • AAVSOM

  • so awesome

  • 6:29 = Too Adagio-ish.

  • @rengelgabriel Is that a bad thing?

  • @SherryZProductions not at all.

  • This song is FAST! Damn!

  • bought it today. I'm listening for 4 hours straight now! it's so ... epic!

  • @remcoQGG Here in Greece i dont know why they haven t brought it yet!!!!At least i can hear some songs from here!!!!!

  • Carai, cacete!! It's old Dream again!!!

  • @machado003 why do i not hear it???

  • A dramatic turn of AWESOMENESS !

  • no on creates prog like this. no one!! except dream theater(:

  • I can play this song on the piano.

  • The one dislike must lack the hand-eye coordination to click the right button.

  • @Asoudo33 You mean the left button...! WAIT! IT WAS YOU!

  • 5:16 is INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry but I had to..

    Portnoy disliked this. :3

  • @toppoxpocky I don't think that...

  • This song is a HUGE callback to Emerson, Lake and Palmerm the pioneers of progressive rock. And thats a GOOD thing.... :o)

  • @Zouljab I totally agree

  • Mike Portnoy as we all know is a Massive talent....Massive presence behind the drum kit and yet still is a MASSIVE-Arrogant fool THAT THOUGHT HIS SHIT DID NOT STINK. I RESPECT mIKE P FOR BEING A VITAL PART OF DT...I MUST SAY HOWEVER THAT THE NEW DT...........:) HAS NOT LOST A SINGLE THING-IN FACT, THEY ARE TIGHTER,MORE FOCUSED AND LESS HUMILIATED WITHOUT YOUR ARRAGANT ASS IN THE MIX. I LOVE YA MAN...BUT ----C YA LATER and good luck with Parlor Mob and whatever else comes your way. FACT!

  • 6 central minutes of bullshit.

  • Fabulous...the album is amazing...thanks DT and Thanks Mike Mangini :)

  • @tamadrumset2004 I would like than all the peoples thinks like you

  • Mike Portnoy was an overbearing dick. It is evidenced by the freedom the band now has. That being said he was the shit and pushed them to be progressive METAL. Now its still progressive but more power metally/ Northern European I find. Truly an awesome album though, even so.

  • lyrically, I don't think anything needs to be said accept, gayer than a ball-gobbling nigger eskamo.

  • Down the crapper, what the fuck? This album is nothing short of orgasmic.

  • Hopefully Portnoy will find it within himself to forgive the other band members and not allow DT to go anyfurther down the crapper.

  • @grantmaster13 Amen dude, Amen.

  • @OfficialCrusader good for you, three of us still have the respect for the original DT and key member Mike Portnoy

  • Not as good as Symphony X. Get a new vocalist Dream Theater.

  • @Valhalla111 fuck of hater

  • @azairek If they got a new vocalist they'd be awesome. They've got a great guitarist who has so much skill, I just think their vocalist is bringing them down.

Insult me in poor grammar if you wish, but it's my opinion. :)

  • @Valhalla111

James is the voice of DT. End of story. To remove James would be like changing the band completely... who would be able to replace him?

However, sometimes I do agree with you, he does get a little annoying with higher pitches notes. In this album though there aren't as many and he fits the album perfectly to be honest.

  • @Yamigekido I guess it's just a preference thing. And I see what you mean by taking away a key part of their band. I think a vocalist with similarities in style to Russel Allen would better suit Dream Theater.

  • @Valhalla111 fine

  • First day buyer. DT are back bitches. MP really held them down. Man this sounds killer. This is their best CD since Scenes From a Memory!

  • @Buffalodan66 This album is ass. Mike Portnoy could take a better sounding dump

  • @JapaneseMonsters14 Amen sir.

  • @JapaneseMonsters14 Portnoy cant play this song....believe me...:)

  • @lmospina42 I'm sure you have access to Mike Portnoy's brain and talent....so I believe you....and as far as Portnoy vs. Mangini, Portnoy may not be the fastest drummer or even have some of the chops Mike M has, but Portnoy probably has a few tricks Mangini couldn't pull off.....bottom line, skill doesn't always trump creativity, something Portnoy is much more blessed with than Mangini the drumming is quiet and forgetable in this album, Portnoy's drumming is always playing in my head.

  • @JapaneseMonsters14 Creativity?.....it is gone since 6 degrees.......He is always doing the same...Some tricks?....RLRLL RLRLL RLRLRLL...Or RLRLFF RLRLRLFF RLFFRLFFRLFFRLFF....Im not telling you that he is not an excellent drummer, because he is....but sorry, he was playing like a machine and not like a drummer...Listen the last songs....He is always doing the same....Mangini is refreshing to Dream theater....

  • @lmospina42 jajaja i know, portnoy "ghost notes" only doing the same pattern all the time, MANGINI IS THE BIG DEAL MAKING GHOST NOTES HELL YEAH !! =D (ostinatos and rudiments as well)

  • @lmospina42 Whatever... I hope and trust you're joking

  • First day buyer. DT are back bitches. MP really held them down. Man this sounds killer.

  • at 6.17 Metal gear solid alert sound!!!

  • @dreamer1939 ahahaha

  • This is Metropolis Part III

  • I know you're listening, Portnoy...

  • @LeMike so! you are an asshole Lemike

  • just like Thiago Campos pointed out, this song has the exact same build as metropolis part 1

  • My favorite song along with Breaking All Illusions from this album.

  • The solos, THE SOLOS !!!

  • I will listen to as much of the album as I can, but I will still buy it to support the band.

  • Magnifico!!!

  • muhteşem!!!! :)

  • Fucking awesome music! In 6:25-6:30 min one may understand why Rudess IS THE KEYBOARD WIZARD!!!

  • This is extremely sad. The entire album has been posted before it has even been released. This album is coming out on my birthday too, I don't want it spoiled like this D: I know that I don't HAVE TO listen to it, but you try not listening to an album when it's already posted, especially a Dream Theater album.

  • @Fluffypopcicle yeah. i tried not to. i failed.

  • @Fluffypopcicle its already been released in europe, dumbass

  • @Fluffypopcicle its already been released in europe

  • This is Dance of Eternity Part II

  • Dat chorus. It's brilliant. ♥

  • Its because of songs like this that i fell in love with DT

  • This one must have been an instrumental song

  • 8:40 - 8:45 is my only gripe with this song. It's too ballsy of a transition to go from such a technical mindfuck to a slow piano tempo, my brain can't handle it!

  • I hear this and imagine their faces all like... "yeah dude.. try to cover THIS!"

  • @xSidvarg I bet thiago campos has already done the guitar part :D

  • @stepetru That guy is flat out amazing.
