  • You lost me at "traditional marriage". Where is that in the constitution? Oh yeah, I forgot, right after that bit about separation of church and state.

  • Same ol' crap...words mean notta when they aren't followed through on. "We pledge to advance policies that promote greater liberty, wider opportunity, a robust defense, and national economic prosperity". YEAH, great job so far; Obama's thugs have you right where they want you! "We the People" put you Repubics in the majority to carry thru with your promises. All I see is compromise with the LOSERS. You need a SPINE TRANSPLANT! MAYBE OBAMACARE CAN GIVE YOU ONE? You sir are a LIAR & TRAITOR!

  • To bad you do not know your American History and our foundation Kiss - I would suggest you go to Wall Buiders.com and learn your American History - The House Speaker is living up to his pledge. It is his majesty King Obama that is tearing down this country - also a progressive is nothing more than a new word for being a Communist - if you doubt that give me some of YOUR Obama money from YOUR wallet. Or keep your hands and others hands out of my wallet, and my neighbors wallet.

VOTE FOR MAIN STREET

  • Shame on Boerhner, he is rude and uncivil toward the President. Since the President was elected by the people, he is essentially being rude to us all. How representative is that? He apparently is able to live up to this pledge, which is a pledge to no where, with no plan, no actionable nor deliverable items and just a lot of words without anything real to be accomplished. Hm.?. Beginning to sound very familiar with what is occurring now.

  • Other than the first few paragraph, which are from the Declaration of Independence,(the most meaningful and beautiful document produced anywhere and anytime, in my view) are load of BS...This is similar to Gingrich's Contract w/ America document which thanks to Clinton never did hold the ground and eventually led to Democratic majority in the Congress. Most likely the same can happen next year as well, especially if the overreach and extremism of Republican Congress continues.

  • Government fails when those in office forget why they are there. To be civil servants to the American people. They forget that they are regular human beings that are/were voted into and trusted by the people to do the right thing every single time. Even in my short life so far I know that greed and selfishness runs rampant from the bottom to the very top. And it is sad.

  • We the People made the Constitution for The United States of America, To secure what, for who? Their Posterity. Look up the word Posterity in an old law book. It is defined as the direct blood line of someone. Most of us are not the direct blood line of the "We the People" In the preamble. The 14th amendment made us and the slaves equal as U.S. citizens. Do we really have or will the Gov let us have liberty.

    Go look that word up.

  • @akmrmike Posterity; to all of one's descendants. If you have made a choice to not take advantage of what has been offered it is your own loss. To perpetuate a lifestyle of unfounded financial entitlement only enslaves you further. The sooner that "We The People" realize that we are ALL the people and not dependent on our government but on our own abilities, the better off we will be.

  • Hey Congress I got news for you, You all are full of shti

  • I wounder who was running the Fed Gov 10 years ago oh ya the Repubs they help make this mess Repub or Dem it doesn't matter we loss. Both parties sold this country out to China in their race to get rich VOTE BOTH PARTIES OUT

  • Dems are bankrupting the US? Really? Are they giving no-bid contracts in the billions to their buddies in the defense industry? Are they privatizing everything, using taxpayer dollars to pay MORE for public services, which they turn from social good to profit-over-people? No... that would be the GOP. Did the GOP grow or shrink the middle class? They nearly destroyed it. Dem policies have grown the middle class. GOP policies have made the rich richer and the poor poorer. Facts.

  • @johnjanney yes the middle class shrunk but how do you explain that the poor did not increase? Did you know that 60% of our so called poor owned their own homes. Find that in any other country. What we call poor is a little different from other countries.

  • @UBSCARED "You violated this pledge a half dozen times already. You said 100 billion in cuts but after making this pledge you added 550 billion to the deficit with a tax cut in Dec 2010."

Only for the short term till we're out of recession.

And the Repubs proposed 61 billion in tax cuts, AS A START. It has to start somewhere. Dems don't want to cut anything, just go on spending 1.6 trillion a year till Japan and China cut us off and collapse the dollar. Like Soros-globalists want.

  • @UBSCARED Insults are not facts

Read the well-researched OBAMANOMICS by Tim Carney, to see the utter delusion of what you say. Obama's is the most corporation-friendly administration in U.S. history. Nine of the top ten corporate donors in 2008 donated to Obama, not McCain. Wall Street, lobbyists, HMO's and Pharmaceutical corporations (as well as SEUI and other unions) all donate way more to Obama and the Dems, GETTING HUGE RETURNS FOR THEIR DONATIONS !

    Plus, you have Tourette's syndrome.

  • Pledge addition, pertaining to our government controlled schools: replace diversity with respect for the individual (virtue). Study our Founding. Understand, our unalienable Rights are part of the Laws of Nature; they existed before man, and apply to all Life and social systems. See my channel video for the proof.

  • lying motherfuckers ,all they have done is try to destroy the middle calss so far

  • @DaveRyanFL

Dems aren't saints, but they are the lesser of the two evils. I'm very aware of things like President Clinton's Omnibus Anti-Terrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act which paved the way for the government to use secret evidence to detain people and hold them in solitary confinement without being charged. If we compare which party is most hostile to the Bill of Rights, the GOP would win that contest hands-down. Bush admitted to ordering torture - feels above the law... just say'n

  • @johnjanney That's a matter of opinion.

To me, the Republicans --while not perfect-- are the lesser of two evils. The Democrats have no sense of protecting our borders and cultural identity, no sense of how to win a war against people who are very committed and want to kill us, can only see the negative in our history and want to apologize for U.S. policy and are raising a generation who hates this country and welcomes destroying our institutions

Most importantly, Dems are bankrupting us.

  • @johnjanney re: "most hostile to the Bill of Rights, the GOP would win..."

    WHAT?!?

FDR and Woodrow Wilson enacted far greater repression of freedoms than any Republican .

Jimmy Carter first enacted the foreign communication surveilance act.

Barack Obama re-instituted Guantanamo Bay and all Bush's anti- terror measures.

And Barack Obama just declared war on Libya without Congressional declaration of war (unlike Bush, who got approval)

Your cited " facts" are just plain wrong.

  • WE ARE NOT ASLEEP.

THE PATRIOT ACT, YOU MEAN KILL THE BILL OF RIGHTS ACT.

AFTER WATCHING GOP REPS SELL US OUT AGAIN,

YOU ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED AGAIN.

EVEN TEA PARTY MEMBERS ARE KILLING THE BILL OF RIGHTS!!!

LISTEN TO RON PAUL - THE NEXT PRESIDENT of the AMERICAN PATRIOTS.

  • @TheKnowBuddies

I often think people who front themselves as "Ron Paul supporters" are actually liberal Democrats trying to divide conservatives with inflammatory rhetoric.

I'm a Tea Party guy all the way.

We need to keep elected Republicans' feet to the fire, and constantly pressure them to do the right thing. But they are our ONLY hope. Democrats are on the new world order George Soros global government crazy train that will destroy us. The Constitution & U.S.sovereignty, not Dems

  • Economic crash, US Patriot Act weakening freedom and liberty, unwarranted wiretapping, torture, widespread abuse of prisoners, skyrocketing college tuition, health care inaccessible, lying about WMDs to get US into war and costing the lives of thousands of US soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Afghan civilians, mass corruption, granting corporations tremendous powers to influence elections... no thanks. Bury your "Pledge" where it belongs: in the graveyard of history.

  • @johnjanney

Many Dems signed the Patriot Act, and Obama renewed it. You scapegoat blame to Republicans for what ZDems, at least, has a hand in. Jimmy Carter passed the Surveilance Act to tap overseas calls.

    keyword search:

WND SADDAM'S WMD HAVE BEEN FOUND

Also note the MULTIPLE scandals involving the UN, including mass rape in Rwanda and Burundi and Congo, and hold others to the same standard before you unfairly crap on America.

And read WHY THE LEFT HATES AMERICA by Dan Flynn

  • Also, regarding the economy, read OBAMANOMICS by Tim Carney, DAY OF RECKONING by Pat Buchanan, and CRASH 2.0 by Peter Schiff.

Buchanan describes what has occurred over several decades as "bipartisan economic treason". GATT and NAFTA were signed by Clinton in 1993, and the exodus of jobs began. When the dot-com bubble burst, it was Fed Chair Alan Greenspan and Clinton who encouraged investment in housing and price spikes of 10-15-20% a year, that burst in 2006.

  • Let's hope for a better 2011. Great message that needs to be followed by all parties.

  • All good and great, but what SPECIFICALLY, John are you going to do to fix the economy? You Repubs talk a lot but when it comes to actual policy and governing you are very quiet. So what specifically will you do. And to say that for the last two years the people were governed without consent is a flat out lie. The PEOPLE put the democrats and Obama into power and it was the will of the PEOPLE that endorsed his agenda. All YOU did, was obstruct economic recovery and polarize the country.

  • @rjholling

And now We The People have put more Republicans in because the Democrats think we're a socialist nation.

  • GOD Blessings will make you rich.Helps you become rich just legalize printings out more moneys it will helps all the business to increases nomore poverty on earth than you rich.Helps each other become rich.Once you rich sent me moneys sent it to Son Nguyen 3834 San Marco Dr.Stockton,Ca.95212 thanks GOD will bless you for sent me moneys.

  • this shit is all fake there just seting us up for the NWO and then fall flat on are face!!!!!!!

  • Rep john boehner has been part of this!!!!!! Such BS!!!!!!!!

  • Rep. John Boehner he'll adhere to A Pledge to America. Hold his feet to the fire, as well as all other reps. It's vital.

  • Where were you, sir, when the Patriot Act was forced upon us without our consent and without our legislators even reading it? You sure like to talk about the current government, but you said nothing during that raping of our rights.

  • Comment removed

  • @DonAlonzo stop lobbyists and corporate corruption... ahhahahahahahahaaaaaa

  • Comment removed

  • @DonAlonzo I wasn't laughing at that. It's only funny when you add GOP and stopping corporate corruption in the same sentence.

  • @silva6939 :-)

  • Comment removed

  • Mr. Boehner, no where does the Constitution mention that government should be ran by Ruport Murdoch, the Koch brothers, or Goldman Sachs. America is more than a country- it's a Corporation. Just because I and many others see it that way doesn't make us "leftist" or "liberals." Enough with the name calling. What makes you think only your way ("Conservative") is the right way to govern? People differ on opinions, Sir. Riding off of fear and "anger" like Fox News wants us to believe is WRONG.

  • The dems have not spent like the republicans and in a wrong war! Then you have wackjob Sharron Angle and O'Dumbbell! from Delaware!

  • Nice, but the reality is we are under the Living-constitution. The Living-constitution preamble:

We the Oligarchy of the US, in Order to form a more perfect Indebted-Central government, establish only criminal Justice, insure controlling Tranquility, provide for the common Redistribution, promote social Welfare, and secure Liberty only to the Oligarchy and their Posterity, do establish this erratic unpublished Living-constitution for the US.

  • @Mike10four - millions of us took the Oath to defend the Constitution - the Marxists Revolutionaries don't want that rude awakening.

  • @eagle275 Nice Oath however, the NEA will prevent this in government schools as they do not embrace studying our Declaration or Constitution. As John Adams said: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” We lost our moral compass hence, we lost our Constitution. Therefore, the prerequisite to such an Oath is morality and virtue, the qualities we must embrace in education in order to save our Nation.

  • @Mike10four

    Amen!

  • silljos 1, you sound a bit upset...That can only lead to a heart attack or an ulcer at the very least. I suggest you try some vallium and relax...

  • This is just words, their inaction and obstruction on major issues is what you should consider before voting.

  • FUCK THE GOP, FUCK JOHN BOEHNER, AND FUCK THIS "PLEDGE TO AMERICA"!

  • Stop calling my fucking cell phone dirtbags.

  • @i81b4u2003 right out of a job. Like I said before, we don't owe you a job, or a dam thing. You take what you can get, and save your money, and pay for what you can afford. When you master that, you will get somewhere. BTW, people who own and run a business? Their first priority is to make a profit so they CAN hire people! No money to pay someone, no frikkin' job. Now, how hard is that for you to figure out? Stay off the crack, and you might learn something. Out.

  • @eagle275 when corporations' CEOs start giving themselves raises it mean the company has money to hire people. The reality we live in is CEO's are giving themselves raises and we still don't have jobs. This was going on, unchecked and encouraged, during BOTH bush presidencies. But continue to believe the brain washing that the repubs care about the values and principles america was founded on. They only care about keeping everyone else out of power.

  • @WLPowell - you are correct about CEO's. I despise the golden parachutes, and any CEO who runs a company in the ground should go to jail and bunk with Bubba. I am a Constitutional Conservative, registered unaffiliated, and Tea Party member. We need term limits, do away with pork and earmarks in both houses. Clean house is my motto, along with "Aim High" - with the type of character we elect and put in office. If they can't do the job, fire them, put someone in that can. It's already started.

  • @eagle275 I agree with what the tea party and the republican party preaches (a lot of it is common knowledge.) It's just the people they plan to put in power have shown they would be worse for this country than even Pelosi.

  • @WLPowell - if they don't do the job, we fire them too, and find someone who can.

  • @WLPowell No one could be worse than Pelosi. No one.

  • @i81b4u2003 - you think you are smart, but you don't know shit. Who has the second highest corporate tax rate in the world? The USA, dumbass. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is, start a company, and see how far your leeching attitude gets you? Your problem is, you expect something for nothing. Yes, America is about ideas, but most of the time, they cost money, something you haven't figured out yet. One other thing, the unions caused companies to move overseas. They priced themselvs

  • @eagle275 Yeah well the corporate tax breaks some of these companies get IS corporate WELFARE, and they don't deserve it. EITHER. When you make millions you shouldn't get a dime yet the Bush Regime gave and gave and gave and now America is broke. Roger.

  • @i81b4u2003 - Are you homeless? Have you ever seen a homeless man give a job? Remember NAFTA? How about the unions pricing themselves out of a job? The Chinese do it alot cheaper, so let's figure out a way to beat them at their own game. I agree that some of these CEO's shouldn't get those big golden parachutes, and the one's who run a company into the ground should go to jail and bunk with Bubba. Time to clean up DC, and it starts now. And they know it. Screw the DC regulars.

  • @i81b4u2003 - BTW, who signed NAFTA? Slick Willy did. That's when jobs started leaving, plus the unions priced themselves out of a job. GM was paying $17 million a year for Viagra. Guess they got horn y installing all those back seats, eh? How did he get a balanced budget? By cutting defense and the CIA to nothing. Made us weak. Hell, Slick Willy even lost the nuclear launch code card. I guess Monica thought it was a shopping card and took it and maxed it out. Maybe it will hit you about jobs.

  • Just what this nation needs: Another loyaty oath. More of the lock step mind numbing control from the Republican'ts who kept the cost of the wars in the middle east by approving off budget and just sending it straight to the deficit. Why in the world would we want these clowns back in control?

  • @jessied44 Why would we want the GOP clowns back in control? Simple - Its because as Bad as they are (and its pretty bad) - the Dem's are three times worse. Obama/Pelosi/Reid have TRIPLED the spending that Bush was letting Pelosi and Reid get away with at the end of his term.

  • @TomLandry1 - Bingo.

  • @TomLandry1 - the Dems have now spent more than any President combined, including George Washington. We are broke, and when you print more money, the dollar value is less. This has been going on the The Great Society, they have broken us, and now it's time to stop, pick up the pieces, and fire these bastards that need to go, and put term limits in place, and fix the mess. BHO is Jimmah Cater on steroids.

  • @demmmm1 Exactly! In fact, Republicans would have implemented the same stimulus at the same time and manner Obama did...with the same results.

  • @tdog4ever. Great post. And no, Republicans won't catch your facts. There are many reasons as to why a deficit grows or shrinks. The economy, Congressional roadblocks [party of NO], the beginning or ending of a war, the beginning or ending of a RECESSION. @ NCMAN, it is amazing how you fully blame Obama for his budget (in a recession) but cannot give credit to Bill Clinton for his budget (major surplus). What gives homey?

  • @samandmargenofive The deficit grows when the government spends more that it takes it homey. Name something the Repubs have blocked. Stimulus passed, Union bailouts passed, corportate bailouts passed, financial reform passed, health care reform passed, unemployment extentions passed. I blame both parties but it is funny when Obama's numbers are worse, folks point to Bush who had better numbers. Clinton's surplus was a projection, not actual revenue. Check CBO for verification. Great charts too.

  • @samandmargenofive I've asked these questions of a number of conservatives, and have yet to get a satisfactory answer.

"Given that the unemployment rate rose to 9.5% just 6 months after Obama took office, what would you have done to prevent that from happening during those 6 months? Had nothing changed, what would the Bush Admin. have done?"

"Should you gain power, by when exactly will the unemployment rate be at 5% and how will you create all those jobs?"

  • In August 1993, Clinton signed the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, which passed Congress without a Republican vote. It cut taxes for fifteen million low-income families, made tax cuts available to 90% of small businesses,[59] and raised taxes on the wealthiest 1.2% of taxpayers.[60] Additionally, through the implementation of spending restraints, it mandated the budget be balanced over a number of years.

Did you catch the part "without a single Republican vote?"

  • @tdog4ever Nice cut and paste. However, cut and paste what party passed PayGo and balanced the budget without the Democrats and worked with Clinton. Just stating the facts.

  • @NCMan28025 I'll leave the burden of proof up to you Mr. NCMan. Can you find a link to how the votes went down in 1997? PayGo has been used since 1990, it was re-implemented in 1993 (without a single Republican vote). It was then re-implemented in 1997. In 2001, when it was up for re-implementation, George Bush and Republicans decided it was not needed. Therefore, we have what we have today which is financial collamity that would make Reagan blush.

  • @tdog4ever Bush 41 passed PayGo in 1990 and again in then Repubs passed it in 1997 under Clinton. You can google "PayGo" + "Clinton" and will find this information at ABCNews. Then when they tried HillaryCare, and Republicans took control and passed PayGo in 1997, since they controlled the House and Senate. We have PayGo now and look at the record budget deficits. Obama spending make taxpayers blush. Both parties are guilty and this is what people need to understand. We keep voting them in.

  • @tdog4ever Well done!! This is, for the most part, is the entire record of the Republican party. It's a shame more people don't get it.

In bed with the corporate elite, and more than willing to ignore the rest of us. If they gain power, we're in deep trouble. Well, it'll be good for Halliburton and whoever else is sending millions to the Chamber of Commerce and Karl Rove.

  • @tdog4ever - you forgot that he cut the defense budget so much that the Russians and Chinese were licking their chops, plus, it gave Bin Ladin all he needed. There are always consequences. What did Bin Laden do? The Middle Eastern Liberals declared war on us. Defense should always be a high priority, but with effective and common-sense spending. There are wastful programs in the DOD, just as every other govt agency. Too many entitlement programs too. It's so easy to spend other people's money.

  • Republicans have a handy-dandy way of conveniently forgetting the last eight years. "What about the years BEFORE Bush???" <-----cop out.

Clinton handed Bush a surplus and Bush handed Obama a crap sandwich.

@ Flamesdupont--if Obama had handed Bush this economy, I'm sure your rhetoric would be completely flipped--as usual--to mimic the hateful, spiteful agenda of your GOP. You have a right to your own opinions, not your own facts.

  • @samandmargenofive Revisionist history. You have a handy-dandy way of forgetting it has been the Democrats driving the car since 2007, when they took control of Congress. Clinton did not hand Bush a surplus, that was a CBO projection for the next 10 years based on the economy in 2000. They didn't predict 9/11, the Wall Street Crash, Afghanistan War, Iraq War nor the small recession that Bush inherited from Clinton. You can actually use Google to verify what I stated.

  • @NCMan28025 what they also didn't anticipate was 2 unpaid wars, Medicare Part D which was not paid for (isn't it interesting they don't want to repeal that?), George Bush and Republicans giving away homes to people who couldn't afford it....(YES I CAN PROVE THAT) go to youtube and do a search for "george bush home ownership"

Do I need to mention the Bush Tax Cuts which cost $4 trillion? Should I continue or do you get the picture?

  • @tdog4ever Appropriation bills paid for the wars and Medicare Part D. Also, you forget to mention that Democrats have been in control since 2007, both wars and Medicare Part D are still in effect under their leadership. Jimmy Carter=Community Reinvestment Act. Dems overwhelmingly supported affordable housing, forced banks to make risky loans, repealed Glass Steagal(Clinton). Videos on Youtube of Dems saying there was no housing market crisis and Freddie and Fannie are fine. Get the picture.

  • @tdog4ever - ever heard of the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977? Jimmah Carter. He and Clinton made the banks loan money(Chris Dodd, Bawney Fwank,Fweddy Mac,Fwannie Mae-where did Mr. Johnson and Rhaimes get all that cash?) , which led to homes being bought by people who couldn't afford them, so they walked away from those loans when they couldn't make the payments. Congress made the banks do it. They should go to prison. Bush and McCain tried to do something, but the Dems screamed Bloody Murdr

  • @eagle275 I find it a little hard to believe that you pull up a 30 year old piece of legislation and say "that's what caused the housing bubble/crash". Have you ever heard of the "American Dream Down Payment Assistance Act of 2002"? This was legislation pushed and passed by a Republican majority Congress and George W. Bush in 2001. This leglislation used taxpayer money to pay for people's down payments. Talking about giving loans to people who can't afford it? Really?

  • @NCMan28025 can you name 1 piece of legislation that Democrats between 2007 and 2008? TARP was George Bush's legislation, not Democrats. Look at the votes. George Bush also bailed out AIG, GM and Chrysler through executive order....there was no bill passed through Congress for that. So what was that Democrats passed since 2007 that caused this financial mess?

  • @tdog4ever Civics 101. Congress passes laws/legislation. President signs them into law. Look at the TARP vote and since the Dems had the majority in both the House and Senate, who passed it again? Again, since 2007, unemployment doubled, foreclosure, bankruptcies and poverty, along with the # of Americans on food stamps are at record highs. 4 years of control and the numbers prove things are worse, not better. Who backed subprime loans to individuals who were risky? Whose tied to Freddie/Fannie?

  • @NCMan28025 Unlike you, Mr. NCMan, I didn't just "wake up" on January 20th 2009. I was paying attention long before that. GEORGE BUSH and REPUBLICANS passed TARP!! period. end of story. Yes, SOME Democrats did vote for it because they were told that if they didn't, the world would come to an end. Still, more Republicans voted for it than Democrats....and George Bush and Hank Paulson WROTE THE BILL!!! Who's tied to Freddie and Fannie? Fannie and Freddie have been around since the '50's.

  • @tdog4ever Unlike you, I can count and know who is in control of Congress. Democrats have a super majority in the House. Critical thinking would leave one to understand that more Dems voted for TARP than Republicans. Or you can look at it this way Democrats > Republicans. The same for the Senate, where the Democrats have a 19 seat advantage (Sanders and Leiberman are Independents who caucus with Democrats). Again Dems > Republicans. I leave it up to you to prove me wrong.

  • @NCMan28025 obviously you can't count. Dems did not have a supermajority when TARP passed. They only had a simple majority. Also, the 1st time Bush pushed this crap, it didn't pass because Democrats didn't vote for it. Then, Bush came out and told everybody if they didn't pass this, the economy would collapse and we'd have the next Great Depresssion. Obama and McCain both came out and supported it after that. They convinced enough Democrats to vote for it....and it passed.

  • @tdog4ever 2008 House Democrats=255/House Republicans=178. Now, please explain how more Republicans voted for TARP. I need a good laugh. Obama, as a Senator, took time out to vote YEA on TARP.

The Senate numbers: Democrats 57/Republicans 41/Independents 2. Again, please explain your claim that more Republicans voted and how they forced Democrats in the majority to vote for TARP.

  • @tdog4ever Also, Freddie were created in 1970. I'd touch up on Civics, History along with adding and subtracting. Presidents do not write bills. This is done in the House and then it is voted on and sent to the Senate. There the Senate revises and debates the bill. Then it is voted on and passed to the President to sign.

  • @NCMan28025 the question should be who gave Fannie and Freddie their marching orders to give people loans without verifying income? Who gave the government the orders to pay for people's down payment so they had no equity in the loans? Who used taxpayer money to do that? like I said, do a search on youtube for "george bush home ownership" and watch that video. He even tells Franklin Raines to go out and give taxpayer money away. He calls him by name.

  • @tdog4ever Bill Clinton is on youtube, as a matter of fact, I have the video on my youtube page, where he admitted they shouldn't have stopped Repubican regulation of Freddie/Fannie. The Ex President is more credible that anything you've stated and he is an impeach liar. Barney Frank was having a relationship with an executive of Fannie Mae. Rahm Emanuel sat on the Freddie Mac board as the books were cooked by Franklin Raines (liberal blogger Jane Hamsher of Firedoglake has a great article).

  • @NCMan28025 not gonna argue with you any longer. I know what happened. You obviously don't. Not wasting any more time with this silly argument. I have more important things to do.

  • @tdog4ever Hard to argue against facts, numbers and verified history. I don't blame you. Id tuck tail and run too. Math skills are important in life and so is civics when debating politics. Nice debate and no hard feelings :) Thanks for keeping it clean and without the name calling or cries of racism. Much respect for that.

  • @NCMan28025 It's your word against mine at this point. Like I said, I remember how it went down. If I could post links on here, I would show you videos where John Boehner and Roy Blunt and other prominent Republicans came out and said that Nancy Pelosi was holding up the bill and that they supported it. I can also show you videos where George Bush and Paulson stated publicly that they introduced the bank bailout to Congress and pushed it through. It won't let me post links, so I give up.

  • @NCMan28025 .....and then to your point about the wars and Medicare Part D being paid for through appropriations? You mean "emergency off budget appropriations"? You realize that to PAY for something, you either have to raise taxes or cut spending somewhere else right? There is no other way. Any spending that is not offset by either a tax or by spending cuts somewhere else....IS DEFECIT SPENDING. Forget the civics, you need a lesson in finance.

  • @tdog4ever One? How about the 2007 budget deficit, 2008 budget deficit, 2009 historical record budget deficit ($1.47 trillion), 2010 2nd largest budget deficit ($1.3+trillion) and the 2011 "deem and pass" that will be over $1 trillion once more

  • @Flamesdupont how is living on the river of de Nile? Everything we are experiencing in this economy is a result of Bush. The facts remain. When Bush left in 2008, there were already 1.5 million already unemployed and the deficit was nearly 500 billion. Nice present neatly wrapped ready to gift to Obama or McCain by a "fiscal conservative." But lets ignore the facts. Ooops. You already did.

  • @samandmargenofive Bush's deficit (2007,2008,2009 budgets passed by Democrats) was $459 billion. Obama's 2009 deficit= $1.47 trillion=a record for the biggest deficit ever in our 234 year history. Then in 2010, Obama and the Dems set the 2nd record for budget deficits at $1.3 Trillion. Then the Democrats refused to pass a budget for 2011 before the midterm elections because it is estimated to be another $1trillion + deficit. The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows Obama has a 8 million job deficit

  • @samandmargenofive Go to BLS.gov and look at the number of employed Americans in Feb. 2009 and compare it to the number of employed Americans in Sept 2010. You will see a 3.8 million deficit. Add in Obama's promise to create (not save) 3.5 million 'shovel-ready jobs' and we currently have a 8 million jobs deficits. Unemployment has been at 9.5% and higher for 16 straight months. The recession ended in June of 2009 (according to liberal economist..google it). Democrats left the mess for Obama :)

  • More like plague on America!

  • @BSD2000

haha, lol. Troll harder you faggot. When Bill Clinton was in office the federal budget was balanced and the economy was prospering. When W got into office he destroyed our economy. But you republicans get telling your lies and spreading your hate and fear. Thats the only thing a republican can do. The republcains drove this economy into the ditch, people please dont give them the keys back.

  • @mastermike2580 You can thank the republicans that controlled congress for the balanced budget. Do you know who spends our money? they are the one that passes the budget. You can also think the dot.com bubble that happened while he was president it later popped

  • @mastermike2580 Please tell us who was in control of the House and Senate when that budget was balanced? Presidents don't set budgets, Congress does. It's amazing how you use hate speech, then whine about someone spreading fear and hate. Talk about ironic. The car driver has been the Democrats since 2007, along with Obama. Their numbers are worse than those under Bush. Unemployment has doubled since 2007, Deficit spending are at history highs. Record foreclosures, bankruptcies and poverty. FAIL!

  • got to do a debate about republicans vs democrats this really helped thanks :D

  • Actually I'm surprised that McCain got as many votes as he did with all the media bias. Barry told us just a portion of what he was planning but that was enough for me. My wife & I were talking tonight trying to figure out why he wants to destroy this country. Make us a second class nation. Is he a true believer in global government? Is he the anti-christ? Or he is just insane. I'm not sure. But one thing I do know. He is the most dangerous president in my life time. Possibly ever. He scares me.

  • We need to hit rock bottom, with Dems in complete control. Otherwise, Repubs & free market are blamed, when that's not the cause.

  • @Scottit We already hit rock bottom when Bush was President.

  • @samandmargenofive Yes thats why poverty highest in 51 yrs., Unemployment over 9.5 past 14 mths, more people on food stamps then ever before All under Obama being president. When democrats got control back in 07 unemployment was 4.3%. The deficit was in the 100 billions. Its now 1.3 trillion. Yes things are great under Democrat control

  • Although many blame the big banks for the financial melt down it really was started be Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Do you remember "red lining" that the banks were doing in the 70s? They didn't want to loan to people who couldn't afford a house but the government threaten them with racial law suits if they didn't stop the practice and then gave them an out. Sub prime mortgages sponsored by the government. A great excuse for greed. I'm more libertarian than you think

  • My prediction: You will become President in 2011. Realize what that entails.

It is surprising that people got hoodwinked about Barry, who is against so many parts of the Constitution. The sheep just senselessly supported his "fundamental transformation," without knowing what he meant. That's just 1 aspect of about anything he ever says, which is meaningless or contradictory [to facts, actions, legislation or previous statements]. The MSM bias towards big gov is awful.

  • Is this going to make any difference?

  • We probably wouldn't agree on much but I appreciate your feed back.

  • Funny to see some Commentors here who are RINOs.

And of course all the 'georgie sorries' Puppets he pays big Money to Troll all day.

  • Yay John! Ohio is now at over 10% unemployment, but even worse- the stats don't reflect the "underemployed". It's worse than even reflected. John you're the best! Good God, is it November yet??? Very inspirational vid- hope it comes to fruition-

  • @KillBaddBugz and to think Boehner is powerless Boehner has let Ohioans suffer 10% unemployment. Boehner said he would protect Ohioans...I guess he was not the man for the job huh ?

  • @IndieBudgetMovie Oh please!! The Dems control nearly all 3 branches right now and you should know this- btw nice trolling out to everyone here lol

  • @KillBaddBugz If they dems control all branches why did Citizens United vs Board of Elections ruling favor the republicans? What's all the rhetoric of reconcilliation and nucular option by republican leaders about? If they truly controled all three branches they could push their agenda through instead of waiting for a Olympia Snow or other Rino to side with them.

  • @SteelMartini Rhetoric is never required when honest and due anger is present.

  • @KillBaddBugz Rhetoric is what you resort too when you want to obfuscate the issue or muddy the waters of a legitimate debate. The Republicans are very good at it, in fact experts like carpet baggers and sophist. A good example thier shiny new object, Pledge to America, it lacks substance.

  • @SteelMartini Hey well you're pretty good at it yourself it would seem. Your type seem to be quite adept at pointing fingers and negativity, but alas that IS the style of those who seek to divide, rather than unite. Have another martini and troll on then-

  • @KillBaddBugz I would say right back at you, because your arguments are vauge. You did not adress a single point I made. The Dems can't get the jobs bill passed or middle class tax cuts through, so much for your theory they control the government.

  • @SteelMartini Of course they cant get a bill passed on taxes because democrats didnt want one. They left town without voting on our taxes. Why do you think that is? Could it be democrats are playing politics with our taxes? Same reason democrats for the 1st time since the 70s did vote on a budget. Cant say we increased the debt even more before election time now can we democrats. Got to keep misleading the public and many will be misled

  • @Flamesdupont The jobs bill that was voted on Tuesday was filibustered by Republicans. The bill would have eliminated tax write offs for companies that outsource jobs overseas and awarded companies with tax breaks for moving manufacturing jobs back to the states. So the Dems do not effectively control congress.

  • @SteelMartini The democrats at the start of Obama being president did have a filibuster proof majority. Meaning republicans could not have stopped a single thing democrats wanted to do. When I said dems didnt want 1 means they didnt put 1 up for a vote. They didnt bring it to the floor

If you think implementing higher taxes on business is the answer that is a shame. All that would happen is they would close up shop here and move totally over seas

Why do you think business leaving this country

  • @Flamesdupont

Not all business, just large ones that ship jobs overseas, sell cheaply made foreign products, and spend their money in foreign countries all in the name of small price cuts for us. Losing them might actually be a benefit. The Bush tax cuts deal primarily with personal income, hence the $200,000+ increase. The rich in generally spend less and only affect business through their own salaries, amounting a a small percentage of a company's revenue.

Repeal the tax cuts for the rich.

  • @alsoRichards Dont worry Obama & Democrats are increasing taxes on the small business that cant leave. So get ready to keep seeing stores closing

I've never got a job from a poor person and how much should the rich have taken from them while 47% of this country pays no taxes

  • @Flamesdupont

They aren't. In fact, a few days after this pledge was made the Republicans voted overwhelming against a bill composed of tax breaks for small businesses. This was similar to the stimulus bill which, despite being pork-laden from both sides of the aisle that Republicans have been so quick to defend. To say that 47% of America pays no taxes, even if you narrow it down to income taxes, is complete fallacy. They deduct money from their taxes via charitable donations, as do the rich.

  • @alsoRichards 47% doesnt pay income taxes. If you are getting a refund you are not paying taxes. Democrats promised to pay as they go and not add anymore to the national debt how has that worked out?

  • @Flamesdupont Companies left when NAFTA was passed. They leave for less regulation and low labor cost. Corporations are sitting on large sums of money and not doing a thing to improve the economy, so this notion that if we concentrate wealth at the top, then it will trickel down is nonsense.

  • @SteelMartini Exactly and yet we keep increasing regulations and taxes. Long as we do that this is our new norm.. Americans are sitting on all the cash they can also because times are not stable. They have no idea whats coming next. So lets not act like everyone isnt doing this. lol Thinking its going to trickle ups is nonsense. It trickles down when say Bill Gates had an idea. Then he hired and then he paid people and they bought thing that is trickle down it works

  • @Flamesdupont What regulations do you want to get rid of? Banking regs, oil drill, mining, vaccine and prescription drug, food or FDA regulations? If people don't pay taxes how are we going to reduce the debt? Trickle down does not work, rich people look for ways to shelter or invest thier money. A store full of fancy products won't sell anything unless people at the bottom have the money to buy the stuff

  • @Flamesdupont The Dems never had a filibuster proof senate. Remember Joe Liberman? They were hoping for it but never acheived the 60 member majority. Ted Kenedy died and they got the republican underwear model to replace him. They came close but their hopes were dashed. Republicans did have a super majority under Bush's first term.

  • @SteelMartini How uninformed are you? Democrats had a filibuster proof majority from the time Obama took the oath till Scott Brown won. Joe Liberman is a democrat. He only became an independent as a political trick to win his seat.

  • @Flamesdupont They had 59, and Lieberman may as well be a republican, then we have s bunch of DINO that vote with the Republicans. If what you say is true then you wouldn't hear all the squaking about nuculear optoions, fillibusters, reconciliation. Republicans obstruct legislation in committe and with senate rules.

  • @Flamesdupont During the Eisenhower administration life was good for middle class Americans because the wealthy paid higher taxes, today life is a nightmare for working class Americans. They are working 50-60 hours a week, thier kids are stressed out. The wealthy had a decade of tax cuts, it's not working.

  • SAVE IT. Any REAL PLEDGE to America would STIPULATE THE FOLLOWING:

*REINSTATE our rule of law..BRING BACK the Constitution. *To GET US OUT of the wretched United Nations. * BRING HOME "our" UN Peacekeeping/NATO troops from SERVING the "global common good" to PROTECTING "We The People" from border jumping terrorists. * REMOVAL of ALL illegal aliens. *BUILD a border fence. *OVERTURN Roe VS Wade. *REPEAL all gun control laws. *RESTORE our nation to a FREE MARKET CAPITALIST SYSTEM.

  • Mr Boehner, As a member of A Tea party and other conservative groups, You did not put in EARMARKS!!! WHY?? Dont just give us lip service, fool us once, shame on you, fool us twice, shame on US!! Put your big boy pants on and do the right thing for the people. Also include Congress is not immune to laws passed for us the peopns that pay for your lavish lifestyle. If not you will be replaced along with other incumbents. GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • @Rightwinggolfer No, marriage is only considered a sacrament given by God if they are religious. But no matter what, marriage is something that is recognized through the government, and if they aren't married in the eyes of the law, things change. For example they don't count as family so they can't always visit each other in the hospital. Also cut the bullshit about the church not being supposed to marry gays. It also says in leviticus that you can't eat shellfish, but everyone ignores that.

  • @doc7114 Marriage is a sacrament given by God, thank you, we now have a firm grasp on the obvious. What Im trying to say is that REPEATEDLY in the Bible and all Christian teachings, homosexuality is punished and warned against. I personally dont give a flying rats ass, but God does. That having been said, the Church should remain true to its beliefs and not marry gays, but if they want a civil union from the govt, whoopdy doo, I couldnt care less, go for it...

  • @Rightwinggolfer What do you think about John Bohener and Ken Mellman being gay, and other rich Republicans trying to advance the homosexual agenda?

  • @SteelMartini What the hell? Honestly, I couldnt care less, read my previous posts, what you like is what you like, you cant help that. I am against gay MARRIAGE (like in a church, as it is sacrilegious in accordance to the Scriptures) but Im good with civil unions.

How are they advancing the homosexual agenda?

  • @Rightwinggolfer It been reported in the real news, probably not on Fox Republican News channel because it goes against the culture war meme. The Gay wealthy republican group "Log Cabin Republicans" trying to overturn "don't ask don't tell".

  • @Rightwinggolfer 1. No, only if they are religious, like i said. Sort of like how someone dying has religious meaning for some people, but for some, the person is just dead. 2. Homosexuality is mentioned once, in leviticus. Near it, it also says that you can't eat shellfish, you have to stone your wife to death if she isn't a virgin, or if anyone works on sunday, so maybe you shouldn't follow the bible literally. Also, they had this rule then when it was necessary to grow the population.

  • How can any American, regardless of political affiliation, object to the ideologies presented in this video? I agree with this 110% and I will do everything I can to hold Republicans to these promises after they throw the bums out of DC.

  • @dmharvey79 "How can any American object to the ideologies presented in this video?..I will do everything I can to hold Republicans to these promises"

Well, you should start by reading "the pledge"..not just the preamble. Read the whole thing..you'll see these guys are the same "bums" they've always been. They claim they'll balance the budge..but offer no speifics. Plus they call for new military expenditures. Read it..I encourge you. These guys have taken "fuzzy math" to a new level.

  • @dmharvey79..... I feel the bulk of the message is fine.. it's the messengers and their policies of discrimination, hatred, bigotry and incessant "Call to Arms" against all who oppose them. OHH and Palin winking at the "Real Americans " ,real americans.. White, Christian , Homophobic, Bigots along with the Southern Strategy the GOP embraces ohh and the LIES ...where are the death panels ???

  • @RocketRitch88 Progressive/liberals passed the civil rights act, ended segregation and slavery, got voting rights for african americans and women. They created social security which lifted millions of elderly out of poverty, they created medicare. All of which were opposed by conservatives. PROVE ME WRONG

  • @damoneysmine

whats communists has obama surrounded himself by? Not one person thats close to obama in his administration is a communist. From Rahm Emanuel to geitner, none are communist. Why do you dislike Obama so much? How has Obama assaulted the constitution. What specifically has he done?

  • @i81b4u2003 FYI Bush didnt go around pointing the finger at everyone either , nor did he bash the other side if Obama is the epitamy of what this nation was founded on then our founding fathers must have been in kindergarten

  • @RocketRitch88. Progressive and liberal pretty much mean the same thing. Regardless of party, Lincoln was a liberal republican who freed the slaves, thats a FACT. LOL, it was the conservatives bitching about how bad the federal government was blah blah blah so they seceded from the union. It was not the liberals/progressives who seceded from the union. Those are the facts, you need to get yours straight. Being a liberal/progressive isnt confined to one political party.

  • mr boehner .. why only white people in the "pledge report" Ok only 8 people of color w/ 370 white folks.. are you only wanting whites to feel like they deserve your representation ??

  • Well, like you say. "AMERICA" is more than a country.....it is an "IDEA".

So basically, you support an "IDEA".

The "UNITED STATES", however, is a "CORPORATION" And it is a CORPORATION that you politicians work for.

So stop the bullshit. You repeat the same bullshit every year. Esp. before any election You say one thing and do another. And plans for a "NEW WORLD ORDER" continue to move forward with the steady removal of peoples rights.

Well people ARE waking up. Your days are numbered.

  • @RocketRicht88

you are so dumb. Progressives are the ones that ended slavery, passed the civil rights act into law irrespecitive of their political parties, wether they be republican or democrat they were progressive. Progessives created medicare, social security which lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty. Progressives have gotten women and african americans the right to vote, and ended segregation. All of those were opposed by conservatives. Theres some real history for you

  • @mastermike2580, what planet are you on? Are you kidding me? (1861) The Democrats majority of the later known "Solid South" seceded from the Union causing the Civil War, FACT. Republican President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation Ending Slavery in 1862, FACT. Democrats filibustered 26 major civil rights votes from 1933 through the 1960's, FACT. Progressivism began in 1912, under Progressive REPUBLICAN Teddy Roosevelt, FACT. Read History, and prove me wrong, PLEASE!

  • Thanks Repubs.

    FEET to the FIRE!

  • @3martijns You call that limpwristed NeoCon Boehner's words an apology? Dems are worse you say? Yes, they tax and spend while Republicans borrow us into oblivion with VooDoo economics. Don't take my word for it listen to David Stockman, former Reaganite.
