You got the ebay kit huh? 100$ vs 1700 for a full system is a great deal. lol. I'm wanting to do this to my bike. Did you have to tune it at all? If you didn't tune it, what differences did it make through overall performance?
Didn't tune it yet , I will tough because after installing power commander and getting rid of cat I couldn't find map that would work with my set-up therefore it needs to be leanned-out . Overall performance? -- Lots of torque , better throtle response , pop's front wheel on 3rd gear .
I meant before power commander. My bike is stock so far, but I'm worried about doing the pipes and having to buy the PC3 right after just to be able to ride it. Don't have the money to blow on PC3 and the Exhaust at the same time right now. So my question is this: Do you have to tune the bike without Power Commander if you do the race baffles?
After installing race baffles I didn't tune my bike and I was riding it for 3 months with no problems. Dont think its needed .... afterall how many people tune their bikes after putting on slip-on's ?
Alot of people actually. thus being the reason I asked. :) Did you notice any gain or drop in power without the tune? is it noticeable or just sounds like its got more power? :P
@SPEEEDR1 I would never put slip-ons on my bike without downloading a new map... but i don't want my engine to burn out by 20K... not tuning for slip ons or baffles causes a lean condition, its extremly dangerous for your bike, not only increasing heat in the combustion chamber, but also causing detonation that can cause an instant kill for your engine.
aren't you a lil old for a bike like that? Maybe a Harley would suit you better
