this scene is really sad, and as much as i feel really bad for dexter to be honest i feel even more bad for brian. because he was old enough to remember this the rest of his life, unlike dexter who forgot for a while(but it is still really depressing seeing this memory come crashing back). but the biggest reason why i felt more bad for brian was cuz when harry found them he left brian behind and he was never adopted, which only left him with the memory of a family.

I probably wouldn't like the show Dexter as much as I do if it wasn't for these scenes, because of these scenes I have a lot of sympathy for Dexter, to see your mother ruthlessly murdered in front of your eyes at what three or five, I can't understand the horror or sadness of such a thing, though I can understand how it cold leave Dexter numb

Seeing Red was my 1st episode of Dexter and now Im really intrested into this show.I really feel so sad that Dexter had witness that in front of him when he was just a child.Its just so heartbreaking he collapses right there and remembers his mother's final words:
