I did go through a period of buying toothpaste without fluoride...and I ended up with 3 cavities...and I NEVER get cavities!! Yes, flouride in toothpaste could go into your bloodstream...but it is SO little that it does not affect your health. I will always have fluoride in my toothpaste from now on, but that is it.

@american2oilet No boiling water does not remove the fluoride, it actually concentrates it and makes it worse. You need a reverse osmosis filter, activated alumina defluoridation filter, or distillation filtration.
@american2oilet Boiling water sterilizes it. You will kill any bacteria, germs, and viruses. Boiling DOES NOT remove particals, ei: lead, flouride, sulphides, ect. To remove flouride, you need to either use a costly reverse osmosis system, or distill the water; which is rather involved, and requires major amounts of energy. Your best bet is simply to collect rain water, which is cheap and easy. You can then process the rainwater by boiling it or using an inexpensive run-of-the-mill purifier.
@mcetcher Reverse Osmosis is not expensive at all.. If you have an extra garbage can you could fill it with rock, sand, charcoal, and dirt. It is rather simple and used all over the world. This text is not just for you but all who read it. Research reverse osmosis and see how easy it is. It is great for drinking and cooking as far as showers go, then it gets rather expensive :(
on fluoride, if you're stuck with city water like me then you can either buy distilled or make your own distilled water. Must be distilled to be pure H2O. I own a cheap water purity tester to get a general idea how much crap is in our water. Distilled comes out about as good as rainwater.

@musarman Here in South Australia, they started adding it 40 years ago because big agriculture companies needed somwhere to dispose of soduim flouride that is a by-product from the manufacture of fertiliser. So they came to an agreement with the goverment of the time to allow them to put it in the the public water supply.

The fluoride they add to water is not sodium fluoride like they put in toothpaste.It is hexafluorosilicic acid,scraped from the chimneys of phosphate fertilizer plants.It is hazardous industrial waste, illegal to dump into the sea,yet apparently ok or even beneficial for us to feed to ourselves and our children.This is not a minor side issue,we are being poisoned.

I did go through a period of buying toothpaste without fluoride...and I ended up with 3 cavities...and I NEVER get cavities!! Yes, flouride in toothpaste could go into your bloodstream...but it is SO little that it does not affect your health. I will always have fluoride in my toothpaste from now on, but that is it.

@american2oilet Boiling water sterilizes it. You will kill any bacteria, germs, and viruses. Boiling DOES NOT remove particals, ei: lead, flouride, sulphides, ect. To remove flouride, you need to either use a costly reverse osmosis system, or distill the water; which is rather involved, and requires major amounts of energy. Your best bet is simply to collect rain water, which is cheap and easy. You can then process the rainwater by boiling it or using an inexpensive run-of-the-mill purifier.

@mcetcher Reverse Osmosis is not expensive at all.. If you have an extra garbage can you could fill it with rock, sand, charcoal, and dirt. It is rather simple and used all over the world. This text is not just for you but all who read it. Research reverse osmosis and see how easy it is. It is great for drinking and cooking as far as showers go, then it gets rather expensive :(

on fluoride, if you're stuck with city water like me then you can either buy distilled or make your own distilled water. Must be distilled to be pure H2O. I own a cheap water purity tester to get a general idea how much crap is in our water. Distilled comes out about as good as rainwater.

Basically the letter came 3 weeks after they did the chemical in the water which clearly states do not give water to animals during this time period it will be poisonous. @musarman Here in South Australia, they started adding it 40 years ago because big agriculture companies needed somwhere to dispose of soduim flouride that is a by-product from the manufacture of fertiliser. So they came to an agreement with the goverment of the time to allow them to put it in the the public water supply.

@musarman flouride is a byproduct of aluminum smelting and was polluting the air, so they decided it would be good too put it in the water, to help with our teeth, but we now know that it doesnt help your teeth and it is toxic and accumulates in your bones. its only a matter of time before the flouride is removed from all the water supplies, but they now add it to food and it is in pesticides and accumulates in plants.

The government is reducing fluoride in an attempt to appease the anti-fluoridation crowd, I for one hope it doesn't work until fluoridation is completely removed.

The fluoride they add to water is not sodium fluoride like they put in toothpaste.It is hexafluorosilicic acid,scraped from the chimneys of phosphate fertilizer plants.It is hazardous industrial waste, illegal to dump into the sea,yet apparently ok or even beneficial for us to feed to ourselves and our children.This is not a minor side issue,we are being poisoned.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Alex Jones just happens to be on the correct side here. Fluoride in drinking water is a bad idea. It's also undemocratic, since it's virtually impossible for people to totally opt out.

This "bombshell" probably resulted from the increase in use of fluoride toothpastes in addition to fluoridated water, providing enough fluoride in combination to cause the spotting. Alex is nutzo about fluoride, but I don't see why it should be put in the water. Take that money and use it to send fluoride toothpaste to poor people.

People: Please note that the government knows the exact effects of fluoride in our bodies. They know that fluoride displaces IODINE which is a nutrient that we actually need. That itself is responsible for many many many diseases, such as thyroid dysfunction, lower IQ, depression, cancer, and so many more. Please research about iodine! I use iodine to displace the fluoride already in my body. There are two iodine products that I know of: the lugol's solution and another called iodoral.
