what i did for exlosives is i bought terracotta clay and i made perfect round balls and id had a bunker buster in the middle baked them in the summer sun for 8 hours and i tried one and it left fragments in the tree  (good for moles)

i did something simmular to this, we drilled 2 holes in a golfball, put a firecracker in one and an airsoft bb in the other

haha, no no no, you know for like electrical stuff. that kind of fuse. the little glass tubes with metal ends. Not the flimsy wick type fuse on the fire cracker

the glass and metal fuse is the bullet. the firecrackers explosion is used to shoot the fuse

The part of the barrel that the wick comes out of is tapered down so the wick just fits snuggly through. The best ammo is anything basically that just fits in the barrel. I havent tried packing it before mind you, but im sure that would work out better

I used a metal/glass fuse. Workd fairly well.

did you just take a metal tube and drill a hole in the back then weld it to its base?

it was a piece of solid round metal,I drilled through it from one side till it ALMOST went through the other side, then I drilled from the other side to create a smaller hole for the fuse. I MIG welded the angle iron on there as a support base.

Nope, it shoots whatever is in the barrel, the firecracker stays wedged inside of the cannon.

as long as it fits in the barrel than yes. Anything to heavy like a rod of steel dont work well, but broken pieces of pencils are pretty good. Anything light but solid is the best to shoot. The tighter it is the better. I should try using like paper towel to wedge the projectile in there better

Fireworks would be to big for this one, But if I upscaled it, than I bet it could. Depends what kind of firework though. It has to have an fairly big explosion. Fireworks mainly combust than explode in the air, making it IMO not as good. But Larger firecrackers like M-90's would be idealistic

hmmm cos ive made a few cannons and use fireworks but the powder is shit. maybe rocket or catherine wheel powder would be good what do you think about using fireworks in a cannon?

I used a 3and 3/4" piece of metal round stock. I used a lathe to make a centered hole on both sides. I used a drill press with a v-block to bore out the main hole. The diameter of the hole depends on how big the firecrackers you plan to us. The other end of the cannon is dapered into a smaller hole drilled from the other side so the wick with penetrate through, but the firecracker wont.

Part 2 - As for the base I just used a small piece of angle iron. Specs dont really matter as far as I was concerned. First you stuff in the firework, make the fuse come out the other side. Than place anything else that you want to shoot inside the muzzle. Things that are hard, dont weight TOO much and fit fairly tight inside the cannon work best. But just random things work alright too.

I just shot a fuse. HAHA. first thing that I grabbed. But I like you thinking about shaking up the can. Minus the fact that its a waste of pop. But I will probly end up doing so. Credit would be yours.

I made one when I was like 10 and I tried fishing weights and bbs but I think my amo was to small and the pipe was just a little bit bigger than the weight and plus it was lead so it makes it heavy it was a 3/8 ounce so thats darn heavy for a little fire cracker but I shot a can and it didn't go threw so I lost intrest when my sling shot made a hole but it was cool to have/make.

Sounds cool. I made one like 5 years ago. And it was perfect. Made out of a metal thermometer case. And it was Just the right size for firecrackers and almost anything. But I dont know where it is now unfortunaltly. This was just a thing I made in my spare time. I just enjoy the concept of harnessing the firepower of firecrackers to shoot stuff.

yeah makeing stuff out doors and spending time away from the comp out doors is always a good thing unless your setting up a date with your girl or talking to her. Gosh like right now i really want to go fishing but this Cali weather is the Rainy season April-Showers so fishing is all rained out right now so that sucks and its raining cats and dogs.
