Sony has announced the full GT 5's car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future. Polyphony Digital will also develop cars for individual clients.

i just played the demo i thought it looked good, they nailed the sound,it feelt kind of weird at first, the driver assist helps out ALOT(even though i still suck at driving),the cockpit veiw wouldnt hurt to be changed when making a sharp turn it just didnt look right,some more animations would of been nice as well.but all in all i might be picking thhis up mainly for the online stuff; an it will be the closest i get to driving that hot Ferrari!

I personally don't hate the X360, as I have a PS3. Admittedly, Xbox has good online and a large selection of games. But the PS3 has the best processing power and great multimedia. Both are sortta equal (go ahead and argue). But, I like GT5 better than Forza 3.

GT5P doesn't run in 1080p, well only in the menu, ingame it runs at 1280 x 1080

PS3 is too weak to run games with graphics like this in 1080p, so is the 360, you want true 1080p buy a highend gaming PC

take a look at the closeup at 0:50 thats how detailed the cars really are and even more so, when you play it on your HDTV, this youtube video doesn't really show how much detail went into the cars. When you look at the cars in the menu the amount of detail is stunning.

Not necessarily. This is actually debatable, since there are so many factors when comparing graphical capabilities. Technically, Xbox has a superior GPU, which is responsible for the better performance of multiplatforms on the 360. But, that is where the PS3 cell comes in, which is actually capable of being able to "act" like a GPU, and has the great aspect of how both the CPU and GPU can work in harmony. But, that is where the Cell falls, since it is hard to develop.

The 360 does have a nice custom ATI gpu that gives it an edge on shades and sorts, but the ps3 has more vibrant and warm colors/smoother edges because of its Nvidia reality Synthesizer (RSX), but I have to say, after doing quite a bit of un-manning both systems and opening them up too see what each holds, its come to realization that the ps3 can access way more memory usage through its shared CPU/GPU. I feel the 360 will become outdated quick...i own both systems btw, 360 elite and ps3 =D

Forza Motorsport 3 is an amazing racing game. It has options that allow both beginners and hardcore racers to race. And even though it falls in the simulation category, the flashback option is great if you mess-up near the end of le mans (imagine doing it over again). And for those who say simulators shouldn't have it, it's optional... Furthermore, customization is great, graphics improved (though gt is better), and great variety of cars, even though its limited to about 400. demo is awesome!

Its good to see the replays have been optimised this time round. I remember how awful they were in forza 2, with closeups of the wheels and bumpers etc (probably because the framerate would have dropped dramatically at certain points in the track) when all i wanted to see was the action!
