Also, Christina does the high falsetto thing more often where she tries to mimic Mariah's whistle register, but it doesn't really work for her. Jessica has done it a few times as well, but she generally sticks to REAL high notes in her full voice because she can actually hit them. An F#5 or G5 in chest voice is much more difficult than an F#6 or G6 in falsetto/whistle register IF you in fact have the capability, which Jessica does.

You reckon incorrectly. Well, if you're going by LOW notes, then yes; Christina has a wider range. But in terms of high notes, particularly high notes in CHEST voice?? Christina doesn't come anywhere close to the mark of what Jessica did in this song. Christina has trouble singing songs like "Hurt" and "I Turn To You" live, both of which don't go anywhere near as high as what Jessica did here. So in terms of upper register, it's Jessica by a landslide. Sorry for calling you a moron btw!

ok i agree. or rather, i WOULD'VE agreed 7 years later. everybody knows that she can't hit those notes nowadays. in addition, xtina's whistle register goes higher than jessica's. i still like jessica better. xtina's voice's too manly

Christina just utilizes her "whistle register" more than Jessica does. Jessica has gone up to D7 doing exclamation before though. Christina has only gone up to A6 live, and it was very flat.

But yeah, it's all about FULL voice.
