Hey Mandler, can I use your swole patrol logo for a couple shirts for me and a couple of my buddies that work at my gym? No profit will be made, I just think it's bad ass and I want to rep it at my gym
@leggoego The logo is co-owned by my distributor and myself. Legally I can't allow anybody to do that. You can buy one from my site though. It'll probably be cheaper at the end of the day than trying to print one for yourself anyway...
It doesn't bother me that Trump has a toilet made of solid gold. Let the rich be rich. But when they use that money to pay off Congress and they make bets with all our money knowing they'll feel no consequences, that's criminal. Proper Financial Regulations and limits on money's influence in politics should be implemented to make the playing field as fair as possible so that the True 1%, the best & brightest, can rise to the top: not just the people w/ the richest parents.
Your message would be true if you were talking about lifting. Yes, Absolutely the top 1% strongest people in the country are committed to a degree normal people are not. However, the Richest People in America are usually not at the top because they're tried harder. Why do YOU think you're at the top % for strength but not monetary wealth? I know you work hard at your business but you're not a millionaire. Putting jealousy aside, the rich's influence in politics & law is a threat to democracy.
@ptarleton Maybe his goals aren't to become a millionaire, but just to improve lives. If he wanted to become a millionaire he could use his fitness knowledge to open up a Planet Fitness-type chain of gyms and just allow people to do w/e. Instead, he is arguably one of the top % of gym owners because he trains WITH his members and care about their progress and success. What your vision of 1% doesn't have to be someone else's.
I get you're point. Stop asking for a hand out and get to work. The problem is that the wage/profit you are earning is losing value/buying power every year. Some economists estimate that people lost 12% of their buying power last year. The dollar has lost 85% of it's value since we left the gold standard. The governemnt doesn't have to tax you in order to take your money. They can simply counterfiet money which causes the money you have in your pocket to lose value.
Ooh, so all I have to do to be a part of the 1% is be a LIAR, THIEF and PREDATOR (on vulnerable people) and someone who doesn't CARE about others?? NOW I understand. F*CK THAT. It is WRONG and I was raised better than THAT, thank-you very much.
@jaliacorbeil Not all that are successful are morally corrupt. This nation was founded on the manifestation of capitalistic ideals...NOT socialistic. It'd be a grave mistake for you to not adopt the ideals that have allowed the American Dream to come to fruition for so many that have made the sacrifices that it demands. Are there some things that might be a bit shady in yours & many others eyes? Yes, but that doesn't mean that every successful person is a liar, thief, or predator...
My Good friends shop went out of bussiness becuase it was right smack dab in the middle of where the occupiers decided to waste everyones time. Since it was so chaotic they had no business. 99% of the occupiers i saw down there where students and people have borrowed there way through life.
Yo , Mandler , greetings from the UK , I,ve got a small man cave at home but am presently in the process of building a bigger one , it will have a power rack , barbell bench , bench for dumbells and rack , 5 sets of dumbells (140,s biggest , "the big dogs") 6 bars , 300lb of chains , 2 sets of green bands , 800lb of plates , farmers walk and other stuff too. No real point to this message , just to let you know we have man caves too , its catching , your to blame , LOL , sean , OUT ! ! !
Most of the occupier kids don't realize that compared to the rest of the world, we are the 8%. For the most part, none of us in this country are THAT poor.
Just a quick note from someone with a degree in economics, and libertarian leanings:
The OWS movement does not, for the most part, oppose wealth distribution in and of itself. Most arguments are against the current system of monetary influence on politics and a massively disproportionate tax code. Anyone with proper training in applying free market theory knows that there are massive market distortions present specifically designed by the government to aid a tiny concentration of the population
Until the institution of the "Greenspan put" and the continuation of the Fed's heavy involvement, that certainly was not the case. Under the first two year's of Reagan's administration, the Fed developed an excellent reputation that it has slowly chipped away at - it is important to recall that Fed actions up until recently were relatively broad, while the tax code and fiscal spending can have some more specific distortions. Recent Fed powers are an exception to that
And it always amazes me how one side are masters at hypnotizing the middle class and hard working Americans in to believing that they should fight for the 1% of Americans who spend their entire time lobbying government, controlling the system and taking advantage of the uninformed. You should stick to picking up heavy things.
@GoEliteSC I am an obvious liberal but I am all for captialism, It makes a America great. I don't care if you want to light your cigarettes with 100 dollar bills. Its your right. I believe in the American dream of working hard and getting what you work for. I don't buy anything not American made even my beater car is American. And I don't think every single person in the 1% is evil and some got there by hard work and we should all aim for the that. But the system broke now.
@user90745 Sorry bud. I haven't even brought up the issue but apparently I don't understand. Thanks for that. All I said was expect whining. You were whining about him posting about the 99% instead of training. Way to go directly to insults. You remind me why I never comment on youtube.
@user90745 I know enough about it that I don't want to focus my time on issues that will not lead me to a better future for myself. The point is, these protesters aren't visionaries. They are mindlessly and selfishly asking for what they do not deserve. What they SHOULD be doing is focussing on the steps they should take to become the successful person they are complaining about in the first place.
@GoEliteSC Yeah but someone has to do it. I'm a bit like you I tend to just focus on what I can control because I'm a bit selfish, however the message/protesting is SUPPOSED to be that the American people don't want this plutocracy any more.
I'm sorry but you have no idea what it's about and I'm not even from the USA. Capitalism is fine, making money is fine, it's how you go about doing it. Working hard is fine, paying off politicians at the expense of the 99% to advance your own monetary agenda is wrong. I respect what you're saying in relation to always trying your hardest and on getting out what you put in, but your political knowledge is poor.
@user90745 this isn't really about capitalism or politics, and and how crooked they are. The occupy movement is a b*tch-fest with seemingly no action takers involved. Mandler's point is, why occupy different cities and protest? Thats not going to make a difference. Be that 1% that gets into a position powerful enough to make changes. Change of any kind takes hard, gut wrenching work.. and it doesn't seem like these people are willing to do that.
@tommyb1028 Ironically they are the "action takers involved" fighting for a more equitable USA. The only people that can get to 1% are the people who are ready to trample on other people and do corporate biding. Is that the kind of political system you want? However you are right it's not going to make a difference that's the scary part.
@user90745 protesting and camping out on wall street is not taking action. It has actually achieved nothing. If your actions aren't achieving anything.. its time to take a deeper look inside. It's a jungle out there.. success is not for the faint of heart. In the grown man's world that we live in, these are undying truths... like it or not... and in terms of your 1%/trample statement.. you think Obama bought into that when he was dreaming of being the President? Your mind is weak
@tommyb1028 You think Adolf Hitler did? He was a fucking success. You have to have parameters and regulations these days otherwise things get out of hand like they are now.
@user90745 Hitler, really? You're comparing the crooked ways of the american financial institution to a man who killed 6 million jews? You'd actually be pretty good down there on Wall St.. why are you wasting time on the computer when you could be coming up with catchy picket signs?
@tommyb1028 You are really retarded, we were comparing people. You were inferring that Obama had big dreams and trampled on people to get the presidency, I don't disagree. However so did Hitler, it doesn't make it a good thing. The financial system is only one part of the problem. But it's ok Tom I realise you don't understand. You are showing symptoms that are usually associated with autism such as lack of empathy.
@user90745 actually that's not what I was inferring about Obama. Not even close actually, which clearly indicates that hard work, determination, and forging a path for yourself and your own dreams is beyond your scope of brain function. I doubt you realize it but your 1%/trample statement made it clear that you have a beaten mind and have long since accepted your state of mediocrity. You're spot on with my lack of empathy, i go and get what I want, I cant identify with these people.
@tommyb1028 Haha accepted mediocrity. This has nothing to do with me mate. You're making big assumptions about my life, and you're of course wrong. Look, you're so dumb, do some reading, think beyond the end of your nose.Actually don't, you could actually learn something! I'm not going to waste anymore time with you, you're obviously completely ignorant of these kinds of complex political, economic and social issues.
