Fijians don't really think in terms of Melanesia or Polynesia, which are terms introduced by Westerners...we just think of ourselves as Fijians...

ICEMAN204050: ALL pacific islanders are related and connected on more levels then you seem to understand ESPECIALLY FIJIANS, TONGANS, AND SAMOANS, even the westerners knew and understand that to this day. Understand the roots.

So Crazy!! I used to catch him all the time singing at Malia's Cantina back in the day in Waikiki!! Damn I'm getting Sooo Old!!! It seems like a life time ago!!! We used to hang out at the Black Orchid on open mic nights!! Me, Fiji, Todd Adamski, Vergal Jepas, Daniel and the gang from "Hotlicks" music store!!!
FYI: That's Fiji killin the high "mariah carey" type notes in this song!!

Just read on the Fiji news...I quote......."Veikoso is back home". He is back in Fiji to encourage young upcoming musicians in doing live gigs and also to link up with some of his old pal that help him or contributed to where he is today.
