My rmp2 pulls the cd purely in itself, but if I want put out the cd again rakes and sometimes it will not come out easily. you know the problem or you have it too? I have the presumption that it is on the cd...
In fact for me it was a little piece of plastic that was used, and the ejecting tray couldn't puch it (that was supposed to push the cd outside the box)
The only way to discover what's going on, is to open the player, it's quite easy, basically you just have to remove the feet and to remove the principal screws, just be careful, the screw in the middle is linked to a heat spread so try not to touch this one !
You can't do a long backspin, i think 8 sec is the max.
I'm quite happy with these players : i had to send one back because the cue and play buttons weren't functionning as at the beginning, and they send it back broken.... so i had to sent it one more time and now it came back with a broken screen ...
Even if the player is quite good it's not rock solid as pioneer ( event if i hate pioneer bc of the price...) and the rmp3 isn't that good compared to the rmp2... better buy a hercules rmx i think
sorry for the delay :/ i didn't relaised that i wasn't logged in.
So the buffer depends how you burn a cd but it is max 5secs for a normal audio cd and 3 sec for a mp3 cd ... i don't really know if there is something to do in order to improve this "spin time" maybe adjusting the strach time (not tried yet but i don't think so)
But when you backspin it loops these 3/5 (i hope you understand what i mean.)

it takes 10 sec to turn the rmp ON and play the song and 5-6 sec when the RMP to load a new CD.
Once you have inserted a cd switching from track 1 to 2 ( for instance ) is about 2-3 sec
