I can't believe how close Christmas is to being here! wow! I hope I do my best to enjoy every last minute of it! I will! ;) Here, in Duluth, MN, we've usually got plenty of snow by now... we don't... but there is no place like home for the holidays and even if God doesn't let it snow more before Christmas, at least I'm home with my wonderful family! ;)

Another great Perry Como song. Songs like this really bring back my childhood and to me are what Christmas is all about. I miss the Christmas shows of yesteryear and all the beautiful Christmas music. And no one could sing those songs like Perry.

Electronic and computer technology and "not even having to think for yourself" anymore is what has undermined everything that is wholesome. Wholesomeness is looked at as something that is offbeat and not "with it" anymore. Good Lord how people are missing out on what really counts in life. Throw the damn gadgetry out the window and get back to basics, people. Though this is being typed on a computer, which is part of that technology, what matters is knowing the difference.

This is one of my FAVORITE Christmas songs!!!! My Grandpa ALWAYS played this song at Christmas time!! My Grandpa passed away 7 years ago this December 23. Two days bfore Christmas, so when I listen to this song I ALWAYS think of Grandpa!!

This song goes out to all my family in Washington. I remember all my childhood Christmases there when it snowed every year and we got to actually play in it. Live in California now and I'm lucky enough to see frost on the grass in the mornings. I miss the snow so much.

Hold on guys! its just 66 days to Christmas, and its going to fun for me this me. Last year, i was in bed, back from the Hospital. I never had any trouble the whole year, but as it was getting to November 2010, i was admitted in hospital for a kidney stone, had an attack of arthritis and could not enjoy Christmas.

This year, i am gonna have the most fun! Shopping, sending gifts, and indeed waiting for my engagement and arraignment next year, [Christ willing] in India.

Great post. There are two great Perry Como versions of this song. This is the one in which they add in an extra line at about the 1:30 mark that goes take a bus, take a train, go and hop an aeroplane, etc., which makes the song about 10 seconds longer. I'm not sure which one was the original, but this is great.
