Marriage is usally looked upon as a positive human tradition. As to her finding a light-skinned brother sharing abc values etc. it still comes down to basic chemistry and personal attraction. Also, it depends on what SOCIAL CIRCLES she participates in. I feel there are a multitude of variables why people choose the mates they do.

So these remaining women are R.Catholic, with the same value system, and maybe they've met his family on ocasion and get on with them in some fashion. So, it comes down to the strongest chemistry he has amongst the remaining women, and the relationship dynamics that work the best. So he ultimately chooses Angela since she may fit the bill moreso than the others.

The prince being wealthy, relatively attractive could have his pick of women white, black, Asian or whatever combination who ran in the SAME SOCIAL CIRCLE. So for example, 10 white women, 4 black women, 3 Asian women etc, same work (high finance)shared interests in modern art or experimental art. Out of these 17 women, only a few may have a shared value system, philosophy of life etc, shared faith system.
So it comes down say 5 women 3 white, 1 black, and 1 Asian.
