2 males and 5 female asf rats or natal rats

How long does it take for them to breed? I got a 1.5 ratio about 3 weeks ago and i dont even think any of them are prego.

i'd get a male out of there they will start fighting when the females go into heat

1 male can handle 5 females no prob

also i'd consider building a wire mesh around your water bottle they are notorious for chewing through them

as far as aggression goes as long as you mantian a relationship with them (petting, holding that kinda thing) they shouldn't turn mean

thanks for the info, i hear that if there cage is big enough and their raised all together mostlikely they wont fight, is this true? how many asfs u have?

the cage is plenty big

i have had over 100+ on occasion

also i have had 3 males all brothers never seperated not even old enough to breed, the females in the cage next to it went into heat and one of them got his package gnawed off!

so from personal experience it is not true

this is of course just advice you can't really know what they'll do untill it happens

Have they bit you yet? I want to get ahold of a breeding group of 'em, but no luck yet. I heard they're pretty mean though. Keep us updated sucker!

no the guy who i got them from says there just like normal rats some bite some dont

nice!!! in about 1 month you would have between 40-70. I been breeding then for couple months. I would do an update on my soon
