  • I doubt these characters have anything to do with the gospel, even if it did... it only shows that they knew about it, but it does not tell anything about the story being factual. Chinese civilization is one of the oldest in the world, for all we know these tales about lambs came from China, and Jesus just copied the whole idea. Many parts in the Bible can be found in old Egyptian religions as well, and these are much older than early forms of Christianity. Sue Jesus for copyright infringement!

  • 只有洪秀全是聖子,耶穌不過是虛構的。

  • @ BallzDeep4Jeebus It's NOT confusing. It's is Christians who are distorting the meaning of Chinese characters to their own devices. STFU because all you so called Christians are so damn ignorant. You didn't learn the Chinese language at all. And those who did, don't you even start with me.

  • And also, I would like to enquire, if God really inspired the Chinese, which of the 7 warring kingdoms did God inspired since the 7 kingdoms have different ways of writing the same characters. Perhaps, God inspired the Chinese even before the warring kingdoms? Then it would be neccessary to prove your point using the Ancient oracle script (甲骨文).

    Regards

    A concerned Chinese

  • @sagekok is he right though? do you know chinese? i've see a few things like this. but with out knowing chinese i can only take his word for it. you make a valid point here. but still, you got to admit it's quite a coincident if it's true.

  • @lotusguild

I write chinese, I speak chinese(mandrin), I am a Chinese. I've seen many things like this, but I've also look up scholarly research on Chinese etymology. I have nothing against christianity, but it angers me when they butcher the chinese culture just to validate their claims. If they want to prove it, they should at least do a thorough research with a good grasp of the language and its history. By perpetuating such lies w/o validation is unethical, immoral and downright despicable.

  • @sagekok Totally agreed. I'm Chinese, and I'm getting sick and tired of these Christian bastards who know so little and yet claim to be experts! Fucking alecks. "Go to hell" might mean something good to them! Think they can explain that using HEBREW, the original language of the bible, not CHINESE?! I think NOT.

  • Dear rayandsan

B4 the Qin Dynasty (219 BC) , China was split into 7 warring kingdom. Under each kingdom, there is their own unique script. It was only during the Qin秦 dynasty when China was unified did the script get standardized under the script 篆書. It was this script that evolved into the current 简体 and 繁体. And there is quite a large difference between characters in 篆書 and current characters. Hence it is invalid to prove your point using the current 繁体.

  • @sagekok I was going to ask something along those lines as well. I"m just really starting out learning Mandarin Chinese and my knowledge of Chinese history is limited to two classes dealing with China in the 20th century- meaning that know enough that I understand people like Liang Qichao were greatly influential in getting things written down in the vernacular- but isn't 羊just the radical and that lamb should be 羔?

  • @BallzDeep4Jeebus

I didn't thought of that, but I think you made a very good point. 羔 would be a much more accurate and precise translation for lamb as compared to 羊 which is a general term for both sheep and goat. Though nowadays, people seldom use the word 羔 independently. They use 羔羊as a term to refer to lamb. But羔would definitely be a better term as if it also stands for sacrificial lamb (if I'm not wrong) :)

  • @sagekok Such a wonderfully confusing, rich and beautiful language.

  • Yes you do need blood. Without blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

Sure it can't be proven but I think he is just pointing out a really special coincidence.

What did this person ever do to you that made him deserve your utter lack of manners and courtesy?

This person will be greatly rewarded for telling the truth but you guys are still blind.

  • these christians fools trying to find anything anywhere to convince their slef and others thats christianity is truth,

    this is bullshit .

  • You are sick and are distorting the Chinese language! Leave us alone and go back to where you're from. Stop this bullshit of brainwashing other people using your limited knowledge of the our Chinese language. You should be thrown into jail for proselytizing and inappropriate use of linguistics!

  • can you prove you're absolutely right?

  • We don't need "Blood" to wash away our evil. Leave the Chinese and their ways of lives ALONE. Also, it's illegal to try to bring Christianity into China that's why they have "secret" Church sessions.
