@jkretch72 no... logic you get with Macs only not PC's, and it's quite expensive, EZdrummer is a totally different programme but you can use them both together.

@ANTTU24 It's extremely easy, that's the exact process that I use. I write drum tracks in guitar pro, export them as midi, and then run them through garageband using the ezdrummer plugin instead of the standard garageband drum kits

@ANTTU24 Different audio editing softwares let you assign a plugin to their midi stuff so you can easily assign a midi track to EZdrummer and configure it from there.

@unlyckystrike Yes. you just need a sequencer, like one in most DAW,s or just a small midi keyboard. Once you have that you can make your own custom drum beats.

@unlyckystrike yes you can. But you must use ezdrummer in a DAW like reaper, cubase, etc. the whole thing is a VST plugin for programs like that. I suggest addictive drummer if you are a beginner. It sounds good out of the box, not too much setup required

@musicduct Aah, cool. I bought ezdrummer with dfh yesterday but I suspect there`s something wrong with the cd because it won`t complete the installation... I`m taking it with me along with the PC down town to the store today, to figure out this stuff with the people at the store lol. I`ll use it with sonar LE, as far as I`m concerned this would work out just fine, and sonar is the DAW I`m most familiar with so I`ll just stick to that also haha :)

@unlyckystrike most DAW's are very similar and easy to learn.

Ezdrummer drumkit from hell worked fine with Reaper (DAW).

I have tried Superior drummer 2.0, ezdrummer, drumkit from hell and Addictive drums.

I must say addictive drums is the winner. It sounds realistic and it have more punch in the Snare and kick.

Plus you should use Izotope over it.....it will make your sound 100 times better. Ask in the store for iZotope.

@musicduct Ok, cool. I`ve got it to work now hehe... So I`ll give it a shot. I also got the drum kit from hell expansion-thing along with it. But one thing I wonder about is how to adjust the volume of the individual parts of the drum-kit, like the snare or cymbals for instance? I`m going to use some blast-beats in my project, then the snare becomes to dominant in the sound-landscape with the pre-settings. I want to turn it a bit down. In the mixer there`s ways to adjust effects but not volume?

Can i switch the velocity sensitivity for different pads? My roland td-4 has midi out which would work, but some of the pads are velocity sensitive and have different areas with different sounds within them - can you adjust these parameters in ez drummer?

I believe EZ drummer is NOT a stand alone app. You need to open it as an instrument plugin inside a host program like cubase,ableton,sonar etc
