What to do with your HD-DVD Player now?

Now I've just bought a HD-DVD player and 10 films for £23 last week, I'm now buying more HD-DVDs at £2 a go! xD

I just cant understand why there are people who still talk crap about the blu ray disc. put aside your selfishness and accept the fact that the shitty hd dvd has lost.its not a football club! its just a format.why not chose something of high quality(blu ray disc)

After 1 year 360 had 6-8 million consoles. Ps3 has 10 Million (March 23rd 07 - March 23rd 08)

360 had a year's headstart and it's only at 18.13m, vs PS3's 11.60 Million.

11.6m + the 10m the ps3's average yearly sales = 22.6M by this time next year

I want to know what people like you were thinking when they bought stand-alone HD-DVD player when this "format war" was going on. What was to thought process. You can't say that you didn't know. I went with buying PS3 because even if sony lost I would still use it to play games and I wouldn't feel like a @$&*!

Except most, if not all, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players do a CRAPPY job of deinterlacing and upscaling DVDs.

If you see how a decent video processor does it (such as the DVDO iScan series) or how a player from Oppo Digital does it, then you may agree.

The hi-def players don't handle cadences well, some don't read flags properly, some don't even do 3:2 reverse pulldown well (the PS-3 has a big problem with this as it doesn't do reverse pulldown AT ALL) so titles from filmed sources look like crap.

Why? The PS3 is better system and none of the Xbox 360 fans can argue that it isn't. It's just better on paper. The only thing Xbox 360 fans can argue is that it has doesn't have good games. i think sony toshiba and microsoft all had this planned before xmas,yes lets screw the customers.
