Thanks a bunch for this guide, i had pictured a similar design to this in my head and was super excited to put it in my house, but my lack of redstone knowledge kept it from me :( Now i can have light!

Interesting implementation, and I'm actually working on implementing this in some things of my own design, but having a bit of trouble.

Specifically, I'm trying to do this upside down (Have the light be pushed -up- into a slot instead of down)

Any chance you can make a tutorial for that?

Would it be possible to light up a larger room/hall using this? Let's say that you need 6 lights, 3 on each side. How much space would this take? (Room size don't mater since it can be adjusted easily.) Great video ^^

@PikminRed It works perfectly; I just tested it in two different houses. Did you build it facing North? For some reason, pistons go wonky when they face North. Try it again and you'll be pleased with the results.

I really do love these lighting systems. But I just cant understand why you would at any point, want to turn off the light. Just seems it would allow mobs to spawn.

Very cool tho. It looks awesome when these are wired in sequence.
