Have you tried to install the WINDOWS WORD VIEWER from the Microsoft website, which opens any DOC files? Some Doc files cant be read with Windows own RTF or WordPad.
If you then click that link, it should actually download that file onto your computer in the
Download section. START-Computer-Local Disc-User-Downloads and there should be the file, then just open by right click and open with Word Viewer.
@ventilator98 did you try to open the link on the internet or got the file from your Download section on your computer......if so than it might be that you need another plug-in for an Office software.
Its not downloading at all? Hmmmm that'll strange that might be than your computer settings prevent those files from downloading, maybe the AntiVirus software. Try to open that AV and change the settings to make an exemption for downloading such files.
@Henrikthaking Don't think I even have microsoft. I had to have a clean new reinstallation of windows TWO times, and I don't know how to get it for FREE, and I haven't a single idea If I have it. I know before the SECOND reinstallation of windows, I could read this file, but not now.
Incidentally you are using Windows 7 OS ( I pressume ) therefore you have Microsoft software on it.
But you need to have certain Office Programs / software to open and read/write certain DOC files.
With Microsoft's own WINDOWS WORD VIEWER you can at least view those files, but not write. There on Mircosoft.....org or Google it.
Its free and small compared to a real Office software. Wont eat up to much space on your computer.
