Solar escape velocity at the earths orbit=approx 42Km/s

Even at the orbit of Neptune it is still approx 7.7 Km/s.

These two things are true:

(1) Light does not interact with dark matter.

(2) Light travels in a path bent by dark matter.

Puzzling, but it is not a contradiction. The same is true near our own sun! And gravity well will bend space/time, but not interact with light.

Light travels in a straight line through space. The path we observe is bent slightly by gravity. It is the *space* that is bent by gravity, not the light. Weird, eh?
