Man im really glad that the whole world isn't inhabited by idots who don't care about their home. I really liked this movie and it's cool that people actually work to protect this planet, but there are alot of people who throw it away without a thought. That should be considered insanity. We all live on the same planet, and whether we like it or not the world reflects humanity's condition. If there are people who don't care about the world in charge then the world will die, and vice versa.

Personally, I love the books, and find in them many praiseworthy themes: loyalty, perseverence, and the sacrifice of one's personal desires for the greater good (what do you call the end if not such sacrifice?).

I hate Golden Compass though. No offense to anybody, but they kill a character who resembles God in the end. I hope whomever created this movie burns in hell...but hey, that's not for me to decide. This movie is made to make children not believe in God by the way if anybody doesn't know that.
