  • right

they would just text and talk.

knew him well ? you're probably another molester !

  • no you dumbshit. I live in Northern California. I knew "nick williams" and he'd always say "oh im on the phone with rob". you idiot.

  • sure homo

  • oh no, someone who lives on the internet thinks he's so tough with his keyboard. I better look out!

  • I'll bet you did

  • In any case a gay man has no business texting kids.

He was dealt with by his maker, the worthless homosexual

  • AND yea every time i see a person who looks like a teen railfan near the tracks or waving at me i radio dispatch to contact bnsf pd.

  • Your a straight up ASS! It's people like you that have recked for all of us.

  • Foamers have no right to interfere with railroad operations, just as railroaders have no right to interact with worthless foamers while risking everyone's lives. You need to get a less dangerous hobby, or go to Disneyland and foam over the toy trains or something.

  • Well, Nancy, does this explain why you give people shave and a haircuts all the time? "Amtrak 774 simi valley S&HC!". You're just trying to kiss ass and look good for management, bitch!

  • It's been about a year and a half since my last S&HC, and there will be no more. I don't want to do anything to encourage foamers, since they don't do anything to improve the quality of life for railroaders. In fact, I nearly ran over a foamer yesterday. A work gang saw the whole thing and called the sheriffs to have the foamer removed from the property. I've had too many fatalities already. That makes me a bitch? To me, it's only further proof that you guys just don't get it.

  • There was a time when I thought of you as just a bunch of harmless kids. That was before the NTSB investigation, (I still have the 67 pages of text messages and phone calls from that investigation), and I realized that Rob saw nothing wrong in letting you kids drive his train. Also after I actually saw one of you kick a memorial floral tribute to the crash victims out of the way at Moorpark so you could set up your tripod. You're not worthless as human beings, but of no value to the railroad

  • So for the people out there that (99.99% of us) that DIDN'T text message an engineer, and DIDN'T ride up in the locomotive cab with an engineer, you're just going to label them, too? If "foamers" are so worthless, then why did BNSF create a special membership for railfans to report anything suspicious when they're trackside? And what if some little boy with his father is watching your train? You going to label the 5yr old as worthless scum because he's thrilled and having a good day? SCUM

  • This also reminds me: Look among your fellow brothers and sisters on the railroad. There are railroaders that ARE foamers, if you've failed to notice. Gonna go hating on them? Just because a select few idiots made a horrible decision, doesn't mean you have to treat people like the world is coming to an end. What happened to being positive and friendly to those that are "railfanning" legally and are just waving to you offering a simple hello? Is that really a bad thing?

  • You are of no value to the railroad. End of story.

  • I've been reading this latest ongoing banter, and I believe there was a time & place for these childish insults that are being exchanged, and it's called Elementary School. I agree that 90% of foamers are a colossal pain in the ass and a nuisance to railroad operations. On the other hand, there is that remaining 10% of Railfans that carry out the hobby that respect the rules of the railroad and stay out of your way. Try to remember that some of us are indeed looking out for you & your trains...

  • There is nothing worse than goddamn teenage railfans those little bastards think they are so cool and know so much about railroads and trains, and they were texting an engineer who they thought was a god a teen idol well for fucks sake look what happend and yea the engineer was a homo but who cares typical fuckin kids look at us we are so cool we know an engineer

  • bet money

the guy was in a sexual relationship with that kid.

  • The investigation concluded that signal failure was the problem. Sanchez was texting to but that wasn't related to the crash.

  • BTW, R.I.P. Rob Sanchez and all who died.

  • It's still really, really bad.

  • That gay POS killed 25 people.

  • I'd call the whole thing signal falure...

  • Yes, Rob was doing something wrong; he shouldn't have been texting when he did, and missed the red signal.

He was one of the rare type who understood rail foamers.

Unfortunately, he let this get in the way of his job: piloting a loaded commuter train..

All that an engineer like him needs to do is give the foamers horn salutes.

That's all that's necessary for a 'good' engineer.

  • too bad the boys were not in the cab with their mentor

  • There are 67 pages of text message transcripts on the ntsb website.

  • he lied too NTSB saying he never texted sanchez the day of the crash he should be charged with lying too the cops and NTSB i wanna know who the hell he let drive i want names and im gonna find out since i know a guy who works at metrolink

  • whats that gotta do with me knowing somebody who works at metrolink and no im not a foamer I just hang out i dont video or text anybody all I do is mind my own buisness i have talked too conductors and drivers just like too shoot the bull maybe get a shirt or hat or a job

  • ahhh, denial... the first indication of foaming. if you're in a position where you are not a passenger and you are talking to a conductor, or you are not a fellow engineer talking shop to another engineer... then you might be a railfan (opps, more PC than foamer). anyways.... why is metrolink doing twitter now? doesn't that advocate texting on their trains? can you twitter a metrolink engineer? maybe you can find out?

  • Teen: (Oh my god) dude me too. Running a locomotive. Having all of that in the palms of my hands. Its a great feeling. And ill do it so good from all my practice on the simulator.

  • the UP conductor tested positve for pot and it comes out sanchez let railfans drive the train not once but several times and metrolink busted him for having his phone on while driving he sent a text saying he was letting some dude drive the day of the crash and the conductor for the metrolink lied about the signal said it was flashing yellow but if your at the station you cant see the signal since its a mile down the track clearly it was his fault

  • Sanchez: I'm REALLY looking forward to getting you in the cab and showing you how to run a locomotive

  • You all should be blamed.

  • omg, if you dont know, dont point out false info. they BOTH SURVIVED for your information

  • sorry brian. at the time i didnt know. i wouldve thought that they wouldve died cause it was a head on collision. sorry

  • gay guys need the most attention!! put a thumbs down !!! wow i feel hurt !!! reply wow ur tough !!! wtf is a middle aged gay guy texting a 18 year old gay guy ? im a 25 year old married with children short temper guy !!!

  • They all three survived and two are now suing Metrolink.

  • What happened to the engineers on the UP Locomotive?

  • they lived

  • @aussietraindriver The brakeman escaped un-harmed from the trailing unit, and the Engineer and Conductor were trapped in the cab and needed assistance getting out, the Engineer was paralyzed and the Conductor had a minor back problem.

  • @aussietraindriver they survied!

  • I am a locomotive driver here in Australia, I never Text when driving a locomotive. only when the train is stopped! this is a reminder of the massive danger associated with phones and machinery! Railfans should not Text Drivers for train information. Im a railfan and i know, knowing info others dont about trains is hard to come by, but an outcome like this is a high price to pay when texting an Engineer.

  • Now that the investigtators have confirmed that sanchez was text just 22 seconds before taking a header with that uncle pete- where are all those idiots who said it was a "medical emergency", or "he would never have ran a red signal"??

  • Comment removed

  • Many of those who knew Rob sent text messages to him while he was working.

  • Isn't that great? And now a bunch of people are dead because of the thrill of texting an engineer while he's on a train.

  • I would just like to post that I am proud (for once) of how the media had not jumped onto a sensational aspect of such a story-in this case a homosexual texting boys. The Senator Craig type stories in recent years always focus on the gay part more than the crime. This guy killed so many, but even the lowest of the L.A. news programs had only mentioned Sanchez had a life partner and focused on the problem of texting and not even so much as to whom he was sending to. Maybe the news grew up.

  • I just wish railfans would stop stalking rail operations. If you like trains LEARN ABOUT THEM. You'd be surprised how much information is out there. Modeling and simulations are another good outlet for foamers. And if you want "handle time", join a museum and volunteer to work on the equipment. Before you know it, you'll have LEGAL opportunities to operate the stuff. Lose the cameras and you might even have a girlfriend for a change.

  • Roberto Miguel Sanchez I rest my case. What the hell was a illegal doing running a train?

  • The NTSB released an update today. During his morning shift Sanchez sent 24 text messages from his phone. During his afternoon shift starting at 3PM to the time the crash occurred, he sent 5 text messages.

According to the NTSB, he SENT a message FROM his phone 22 second before the crash occurred.

Is there any doubt at this point? Enough with his family desperately trying to save his reputation. This guy was a scumbag.

  • Now this is a fine example of a post that is insulting. Well done! You are nothing more than a hypocrite. Do you know the text history of the exchange between the boys and the homosexual engineer? We are trying to determine the cause of the accident- and the content of said text messages is the subject of some speculation.

  • well its true that he blabbed too the media that he text messaged sanchez before the crash so i guess we can blame both for the crash the foamer and sanchez for being stupid and not paying attention too the signals maybe they should charge big mouth with 25 counts of homicide but if they had automated braking system that stops the train if he blows a light those folks would still be alive

  • I think the fact that they ordered a second autopsy and are looking into fatigue being the cause. I think they ruled out texting being the cause...but if it is the cause...it's very tragic and extremely neglectful...it's just hard for me to wrap my mind around blowing past three signals while doing that and not reacting to the signal system...we know our territories and what to look for. I run freight not passenger trains.

  • Comment removed

  • I think he was reading nick williams text message and perhaps typing a response to him when he missed the signal.

  • I'm a Locomotive Engineer in Los Angles...I find it very unlikely that he was so focused on texting that he failed to check with his Conductor by calling out signals. Our job is way to serious and there is too much involved to not pay attention. He had a advance approach (flashing yellow signal) followed by a approach (yellow signal) which basically means that you can proceed to the next signal prepared to stop. He never called out the next three signals. something went wrong with him.

  • more lawsuits for metrolink. they don't care about safety. they need to come up with the solution of installing better technologies to protect their customers. not only metrolink but the whole train industry must be a universal system or else we will be seeing more accidents like this one. the media and metrolink quickly blamed the engineer for the crash. give the poor working guy a break. he was a slave for metrolink. they have messed up schedules for their employees.

  • metrolink shares their tracks with the freights. look at metro. they haven't had any wrecks with other freight trains or passenger trains because they don't share their tracks.

  • who knows what the hell happened? all i know from personal experience driving buses is that these transit companies have really tight schedules, split shifts, work long hours, and expect you to be a freakin machine on the road. i know for a fact the schedule he had contributed with the accident, the text messaging, and metrolink itself.

  • Very good video! Even for me, railfan that lives 2,000+ miles from the crash, it still hits me pretty hard.

  • As for his young railfans, there is nothing wrong with that. I have loved trains since I was a little boy, and they are in no way to be at fault either. My guess is something else happened, Diabetic or otherwise, Mr. Sanchez was probably incapacitated. Nobody should judge this man,as this was a terrible acident, and h surely would not wanted to ahve done this. May he, and all the other victims and families have solace and mercy!

  • Some of you moday morning quaterbacks are seriously sad. Mr. Sanchez might have been on his phone (but aren' we all guilty of that) when he should have not been. Was it the cause, highly unlikely because he did miss so much like the switch sound which he should have felt. f he did cause it it's terrible, but we all are distracted at times, and one second in any of our lives can be a factor in an accident. Did he plan on this happenig? Of course not, he was a good engineer.

  • Your monday morning quarterbacking here is not helping- throwing out your little diabetic or incapacitation is monday morning quarterbacking at its worst.

  • you guys don't know what happened inside the train. No one does. So to come up with these lame ass theories about being a suicidal child molester is hogwash. Some of you are truly disgusting human beings who point the finger and turn human beings into villains because you can't make sense out of a situation.

  • Do you read the news? He was in homosexual relationship and his lover commited suicide; they are now reporting this more and more as fact and not theories as you call them.

  • This doesn't add up. There are approach signals that preceed a stop signal. You can't tell me that he was distracted that whole time to cause the accident. He was a diabetic, perhaps he had a health issue when approaching the stop signal. In any event, the reversed switch would have gotten his attention real quick, yet he didn't go into emergency application, he had to have been completely incapacitated to do that. It wasn't just texting guys, something else had to have happend.

  • who said he was a child molester i never heard that

  • We are talking in thousands of pedastrains and cyclists that have been killed by irrisponsible motorists using there cell phones but it dosn't make the news so no one makes a deal about. Let the investigation run it's course before any of you dickheads pass judgement.

  • Good point, since thousands of pedastrains and cyclists that have been killed by cell phone users we should blow off this little issue. Good advice Hog453!

  • You forgot to mention he had a criminal background.

  • No!

  • I am so tired of people driving while on a cell phone. It does not matter if you are texting are talking it is wrong.Focus all your attention on the road.

  • The Feds are asking rails for any names of Foamers that hang around stations on a regular basis, wonder what they want with them?

  • Maybe to get them free hiv tests?

  • 8-)

  • 8-)

  • ok. now I found a blip that the UP engineer was NOT killed? Enlighten me.

  • Does anyone know the names of the men on the UP locomotive? From the little I could glean from the papers, they just said "conductor and 3 crewmen" What would their postions have been, physically, and "job description"? I am not a trainaholic, not sure how many would have been on the U P train, wonder about them, their engineer? His family? With so much attention elsewhere, I just have not heard a kind word about them. Read that the last second of his life he was trying to stop his train.God.

  • i knew it that rob guy was a homo!!! trying to hit on little boys and look what he accomplished. he murdered too many people just cuz he wanted to have "mud tracks" on his train. what a flamer. im no homophobe but if you must get your dick wet, do it on your own time. burn baby, burn

  • It gets worse- I just read on the latimes website that the engineer who loved the boy railfans lost his HIV+ homosexual partner in 2003.

  • Yes his gay lover hung himself on Valentines Day in their garage after finding that he had been infected with HIV by Rob.

Who's going to care for the Greyhounds?

  • The same guy who says Sanchez is responsible and would never run a red light also says that Sanchez was sending out test messages at the time of the crash. The guy knows; he received the message. Any railroad engineer who is text messaging while driving a train is irresponsible, period. Sanchez may have been a nice guy, but he was a reckless engineer.

  • People make mistakes.

  • thats 1 hell of a mistake 25 people killed cause he was texting and blew a red light

  • As a railfan myself, lets all pray for Rob and the victims of this tragedy. These hateful messages are making things works. RIP.

  • I mean making things *WORSE*

  • Rot in Hell Robert Sanchez. You're responsible for killing 24 people.

  • Rot in hell robert Sanchez. You're responsible for killing 24 people.

  • Guess what...the NTSB is checking the data recorder on the locomotive and they just said that the engineer never hit the brake. He would have immediately heard and felt something if he had run through the switch the wrong way, but the recorder shows he still never used the brake. So that means he was unconscious. He probably had a heart attack or other medical problem and passed out. So you're blaming a dead man for a crash that wasn't his fault. How do you feel?

  • rob will burn for his actions, just like his sick little boyfriends. who cares if your pops worked with the freak, its like saying,"ooh, i knew my pop's friend who worked with him at the old budwiser brewery, who spiked a whole case with cyanide, and now i miss my pop's friend after he drank the case with his buddies at a house party where little boys where present in underwear." look, alls im saying is... there are no such thing as elements, only mistakes, that could be prevented to save lives

  • I agree that that people should not be texting, if that is was happened. What people not stop doing is automatically assuming Sanchez or his friends are guilty, when the investigation is not completed. I would venture to say the true idiots are the people who judge before all the facts come out. And to say someone will "burn" for their actions? ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! That is not okay. You don't know the facts so STOP badmouthing everyone!

  • NOBODY is to blame, as with all ACCIDENTS, all elements lined up to create chaos. Think you are not connected? Every negative statement you make, condeming someone without knowing the facts, does not make any difference, except to generate more negativity. Perhaps channel that energy into donating blood, and understanding that everyone of us has made a mistake that could have been fatal, to ourselves, or others. Metrolink has the obligation to be current with technology that would save lives.

  • batman602 you suck!!!! You need to realize that there may be some people on here...that regardless of what happened, even if rob was at fault, that there are those of us that knew rob personally and no matter what happened we will always love him and miss him and nothing any of you jerks ever say is going to change that. My own dad works for metrolink and I knew rob personally for years and I will one of the ones who stands up and says he was a kind, loving, and caring man. RIP Rob!!!

  • forget this Rob guy, because of him too many people lost their lives. I mean what was he to have little boys as "friends" what kinda perve drug dealer was he? i hope you burn robert sanchez, burn baby, burn!!!!

  • Batman, you're the sicko here. Foamers need to put their cameras away and stick to Lionels and MSTS but you're 5150.

  • There is nothing suicidal or mental about what batmam said, if you place it in the context of the Christian religion.

They believe that there is a place called hell where siners will burn & this person obviously believes that Rob Sanchez doesn't deserve a tribute video in his honor as his actions were not honorable & that he in fact might have commited a sin & definitly commited a crime.

People R angry about those whose lives have been changed or lost forever & have a right 2their anger, IMO.

  • As a railroader that has been out there and worked as a conductor and brakman and an RCO operator,WHAT THE HELL was that engineer thinking??,not only that RAILFANS-those of you that have never worked one day on the railroad WE HAVE A JOB TO DO!! befriending railfans is NOT one of them! I can see it now, added to our rule book/deadly decisions. As for the other those of us that railroad,WE ALL KNOW THAT WE SHOULD NOT BE ON CELL PHONES/TEXTING ANYWAYS! NO EXCUSE to run an absolute!

  • Comment removed

  • that be true, part of OPS testing can count on that....have to see what the UTU says about it too.

  • Yep, NTSB will be on board with it, and it would be interesting to see what the BLET thinks about it, along with the FRA, CPUC might not have any input but maybe Caltrans. Any other acronyms we need to throw down?

  • ...and what if the investigation also shows that there were NEVER any text messages? Or that he did not text on the day of the crash? Idiots just believe whatever they hear on the media and on the internet and just keep spreading bogus rumors. The NTSB has already said there is NO evidence of any text messages yet. And now it looks like the enginer might have just passed out at the controls from a medical problem.

  • Are you saying Nick Williams lied? You have a hell of a lot of nerve- those boy railfans got on national TV and poured out thier hearts, showed Rob's text messages and you say they made the whole thing up???

  • You did not explain why the engineer never braked. The data recorder shows that he never applied the brakes. Everyone who worked with him has said he was very concerned about safety and had a good performance record. So he wouldn't have been on his cell phone and just sat there while the UP train raced toward him head on. You don't want to believe a simple, logical explanation because the "texting" story is more interesting to you...even if it is total and complete BS.

  • As you continue to defame a respected local teen railfan it only makes it more obvious you are nothing more than a troll who wants to smear someone's name. When the NTSB releases the findings confirming what Nick and his expert railfans stated you need to come back in here and publically apologize. Your little made up story about a heart attack is so typical of ignorant folks who dont work off the facts.. you make up a scenario, throw it out and hope it sticks. You make me sick to my stomach.

  • And I think I'm done replying to you and trying to reason with you. No matter what the investigation shows and what the NTSB says, you're going to believe whatever you want to believe. You want to believe a bogus rumor that a couple of reporters on tv (with NO evidence) told you, and what you heard on the internet. Yes, it's POSSIBLE he might have been texting, but not on the day of the crash. He was an experienced engineer and wouldn't have been doing that while on duty. Grow up.

  • I would suggest you do stop trying to exchange with me, your hate for the young railfans has clouded your vision, your completely made up scenario of a heart attack is so typical of the many drunks at bars coming up with stories to explain this accident. Let the big boys take it from here; you can take your stories somewhere else, son.

  • Huh...it turns out that "bogus rumor" that you have been referring to was true according to the NTSB and he was in fact texting while on duty. Having experience at a job doesn't automatically infer that you do the right thing all the time.

  • Yeah so much for "he would have never done that".. "he was by the book.. "

He was screwing off at work with kids on his cell phone, period.

  • I know you won't actually read this, and will just reply with another BS comment. But even people who DO work on the railroad are saying that something just doesn't add up. Go to Yardlimits (dot) com...This is a railroad employee's forum, these are ENGINEERS and they are saying that something doesn't add up. Do you understand that?? Anyway, we all know 4eznap does NOT work for any railroad, and you probably are the same person anyway. I'm done wasting my time.

  • And you dont work for the railroad, you play with electricity and make up stories about accidents.

  • Until 4eznap actually talks with an ENGINEER and gets a educated viewpoint from someone who actually IS on a train crew, or tells us what railroad he supposedly works for and what his position is (because we all know that is complete BS)...if he is a brakeman, assistant conductor, conductor, carman, MOW, whatever. Until that time, then both him and you can STFU. You don't know what you're talking about.

  • And you know what you are talking about? hehehe.. you and your fairy tale story, calling people involved with the engineer liers, making videos of pure conjecture and hoping people listen?

  • Good try! It is well known in our industry that foamers try to get information on railroaders so they can stalk them sorry but I won't take that bait, go back to making stupid prank phone calls.

  • Personal attacks, ct92404, and asking people to offer personal info do not make your position correct and should not be tollerated.

  • and wow 175MPH...all of your favorited videos are about the Metrolink crash. All of your subscriptions AND your subscribers are other railfans. Care to explain??

  • You forgot to mention the background picture of a text message being sent from a locomotive, care to explain? hehehe. Good luck in barber college today!

  • i don't think they were bragging at all, just simply saying. why do you think they were "bragging"???

  • Whatever, they jumped on TV and held up a cell phone showing three messages from the engineer. Call it whatever you want. Personally I call it stupid.

  • stop blaming these BOYS. they were text messaging and the engineer was choosing to respond. to blame the kids who were simply text messaging someone is assanine.

  • These BOYS decided to go on TV and brag about exchanging text messages just before the engineer was in the accident.. hell yes people are going to jump on them.

  • Texting..... God now people are just making fun of these deaths

  • Text messages are timestamped when the recipient's provider processes them to send to their cellphone, how many times do people wait 2, 5 or 10 minutes or even longer to get a text message? If there was a text message sent it could have been while the train was at the Chatsworth station. Making accusations, flaming or outright insulting other's comments here does nothing to solve this issue. Allow the NTSB to finish their investigation, publish their reports bofore you start seeking blame.

  • I send/receive hundreds of text a month, typically it takes 30 seconds or less.

  • 4eznap is nothing but a troll who is posting the exact same comment on every single video I have seen of this. He obviously doesn't understand railroad regulations...otherwise he would know that the engineer and conductor have the ultimate responsibility for operating the train safely. Blaming the kids for the accident is pretty low and cowardly.

  • Im also glad to see all the boy toys are closing their accounts

  • They are scared shitless

  • Thank god they were not aviation buffs. God only knows what kind of damage they would have caused.

  • Just because people like to snap photos and take video of trains, doesn't mean they are foamers. Maybe they like the surrounding on top of what they are riding? Also, being a rail fan is like any other hobby out there, everybody has one, don't knock the other for liking something different. Of course, the driver is to blame if he wasn't keeping an eye on the road in this case, but I'm lazy to read the whole report.

  • These punks crossed the line between being train buffs. Reading nicks accounts of bragging about getting to be in the cab of locomotives, cool engineers who they could txt.. and texting them while they are operating a locomotive? Come on. these kids were interacting with the the railroad employees- not simply sitting beside the tracks photographing trains.

  • exactly, read my comment..this just ruined it for the railfans, and made being a railroader more difficult from this stand point on.

  • I notice how all the train geeks are closing their accounts.

  • God bless Rob Sanchez. And Nick, when you see this. Don't let anyone put you down or tell you otherwise.

  • Nick probably wont be spending much time reading youtube from now on.

  • why do you say the switch was left open dude you know nothing about switches. you can run through any switch as long as it is a trailing point switch just like your model railroad. he can run the red and then run through the switch and continue to text his boy.

  • what jeff4098 said was right on.

  • The engineer may have been text messaging. Not a teenager was bothering and texting the engineer. Check the facts you guys. Come on.

  • Turn on channel 7 right now and you will nothing about a text message.

  • Just because the news doesn't report anything about the textmessaging in that particular newscast doesn't mean it didn't happen.

There are other newscast which mention the texting and offer proof of the phone which recieved the messages.

These comment, of yours Jason are a perfect example of what our world has come to the mainstreammedia is believed above the truth and reality of a situation.

People need to investigate things on their own more and think for themselves.

  • As I said before, railfans should not **** with rail operations but you and 175mph seem to be disgruntled railroad employees who just plain HATE railfans. I'm a railfan but I work with a couple of rail museums and get to LEGALLY run locomotives from time to time. I strictly AVOID the property unless I have a ticket and then I sit in my coach seat and leave the property as soon as the train gets to my destination. Railfans need to lose the cameras and go for the 3M plan;

    Museums

    Models

    MSTS

  • I dont hate railfans.

  • RRSpectra, I have to disagree with your 3M point. There is a way to enjoy the photographic aspect of the hobby; you said it yourself in your first sentence. As long as we keep our distance from the property and the employees, there should not be a problem.

  • Camera toting foamers who want to take pictures should take up bird watching instead. There is NO legitimate photographic aspect to liking trains. If you like trains, get some text books and LEARN about them.

  • Can't make taking train pictures at a safe distance (where people should be) illegal.

  • no but perhaps letting dudes highball while texting should be shutdown. And tell the damn engineer to avoid striking up relationships with groups of teen boys.

  • So, by using that same logic, there is no legitimate photographic aspect to liking birds? Check out Airliners . net and tell me that all those people who have contributed over 1 million photos that they should sell their camera equipment and go read a book about planes instead. Not everyone can enjoy a hobby based on your standards.

  • How many people have been killed by aviation buff's interfering w/ pilots flying planes?

  • No one because the aerofoamers are kept hundreds of feet away from where they can do damage. LOSER rail foamers with cameras can get right up where they can do max. harm.

    Go photo ban!!!

  • you are the true illiterate person here

  • The NTSB just released a report saying the text messaging had nothing to do with the crash. Good job little investigators. You really cracked this case and hit it home. FUCKING DUMB ASSES

  • The NTSB just did an update- the final report will be months if not years from now. Dont worry, we will get to read all about the message history of the engineer's phone in that report.

  • This jason44555 should be a comedian...the NTSB would not issue a statement this soon...it is too early in the investigation. I think he is just trying to get everyone to think the texting had nothing to do with it.

  • Nice try Jason, now get back to your school books. You all have done enough damage.

  • YOU ARE AN IDIOT. The NTSB has not issued a report on this at all. Maybe you are confusing a report with light rail in the Northeast? Get your facts straight.

  • Keep defending him dude- it is a losing battle and he needs the help!

  • He went on TV to say GOODBYE...sure didn't sound like that to me...all I saw and heard was a HUGE NOOSE...and by the way you talk, with all your profanity, you must be one of those teenagers that was out there on that dreadful day...none of it is ok or right...there is no defense here...none on either side...you're sitting there feeling sorry for your friend, why don't you put the sympathy where it belongs, the families of all those innocent people that died and Rob's family.

  • Well said, imjstsayin.

  • We have a very good idea of what happened, thanks to Nick Williams admiting on TV that he was exchanging text messages with the engineer that ran a signal.

  • Metrolink says that. They arn't investigating it. The NTSB be is and they havn't said anything like that yet.

  • did one of the text messages to sanchez say "have a great suicide"?

  • I doubt it.. more like- you need us to bring lube again?

  • dude, im sorry, BUT ARE YOU EVER GOING TO DROP IT

  • You know I had not posted for a couple days.. but you drop in here with this kind of attitude.. I'm afraid I will never "drop" an incident that resulted in 25 innocent people dying.

  • dude, your really pathetic. Its been two weeks! I never said to forget about the incident, none of us EVER will, Im asking nicely, can you PLEASE STOP WITH ALL THE INSULTS?

  • Your mean spirited comments have no place in this discussion. When have insulted anyone btw?

  • "I doubt it.. more like- you need us to bring lube again?"

    thats what you said

  • And how is that considered an insult? Who was insulted, and why?

  • your just can stop insulting people.

  • I have insulted no one. I would respectfully ask that you stop harrasing me and my activity on here. Thank you.

  • I dont feel sorry for a kid who openly admits to texting an engineer who is operating a passenger train. He is old enough to know better. Even funnier is him being stupid enough to go on TV and admit it!! LOL.
