Our troops aren't getting paid enough money to do what they do courageously, risking life and limb, and when they do get hurt in battle, our government tries so hard to deny them disability benefits. I love this clip but it panders to American hubris. Sure Michael is rightfully unpopular for insulting the troops, BUT the end of this clip shows a slip up by Colmes.

Colmes says, "If you have a problem with the pay structure, you should be blaming the policy makers."

Crook's concern is RIGHTFULLY that the soldiers have a choice to not join - and to ultimately not support the war. The would-be soldiers' ineptitude to compete for real-paying jobs compels them to join the service.
