Hi Thanks again - My wife and others here also tell me my voice is good for the videos. Maybe teaching 'Electronics and Automation ' at Virginia Tech for 31 years helped . I figured the other day that I did about 7000 lectures during that time. Dave
@AppleMacintosh128k Thank you so much for the nice comment. It is comments like yours that keep me making videos. I am getting better - my opinion - and using much better editing software 'Power Director 10' and better Sony camera. There are so many different videos I would like to make of computers in my collection and education ones. I have many other projects like our "Chantilly Festival Farm' here in Floyd but having fun. Only 73 last week so guess I will keep at it.
We are in the Appalachian Music community of Floyd Virginia - I am also making a small museum display of some of my computers available to the public in the Village Green. We are on the "Blue Ridge Parkway" & " The Crooked Road - Virginia's Heritage Music Trail" . A lot of good things here - drop in and see us sometime. Also if you are biker this is a big stop over for riders on the Blue Ridge Parkway - Dave
We have Apple 1 Microcomputers in LCF Group - you can see all 4 in our LCF Group collection at Mike Willegal's ' Apple 1 Registry ' - Folks ask how did you ever get 4 Apple 1's - short answer - I have been involved in teaching, using, collecting & writing about computers at Virginia Tech & other places for over 54 years - started at Remington Rand Univac company in 1967 - I have advertised in various trade magazines ' wanted pre1980 microcomputers for historical collection' for past 40 yrs
Cool video, could you, please mention my youtube channel " Hamradio2008 " I am aspiring to share my electronics homebrew projects and learn from youtube. Thanks
@HamRadio2008 I looked at some of your videos and you sure are putting up a lot of them and folks are watching. The educational videos are always popular. Keep it up. I have one on reading resistor lcolor codes and have in mind doing a whole series on basic electronics . To many other projects but I will get more done. I taught instrumentation for 31 years at Virginia Tech Follow us at twitter-com/n4usa put out some tweets about your videos - Dave
@HamRadio2008 I just got back from Slilcon Valley and I went to the Computer Museum in Mountain View it was really cool thanks for your endorsement, please tweet my channel thanks again I will stay tuned in to your channel.
@HamRadio2008 Hi my wife and I visited the Computer Museum a couple years ago and really had a good time - visited several other interesting place at that time to like the Intel museum. Thanks for the comment.
@umajunkcollector The price is for sure partly dependent on the Apple name and success of the company- the fact that Steve Wozniak designed a really great microcomputer for the time with a minimum of components. It would had died if he had not designed the Apple 2 which was a real plug and play from the get go. The fact that Apple is still in business and a very large company with still some great products. At least 600 companies tried to make computers in the 1970.s most have little value.
@umajunkcollector You are sure correct - this parts them by them selves have only a few $ in value. It is hard to really tell how folks value rare things. The price can come down as fast as it goes up so in a few years they may worth a lot less and then maybe with so few their will be buyer keeping the price up. It is interesting to follow .

Funny thing, the value of the chips, parts, etc on that PC board is probably worthless.
