It does'nt matter if it has ink on it cus your not gonna smoke it! Just make sure its a heavier paper like cardboard just alot lighter but heavier than notebook papers

@JayRichHicks They're not filters. They don't filter anything out. They're tips which make a spliff/joint much easier to hold and smoke. You avoid the risk of getting any cannabis or tobacco in your mouth, get a much smoother and easier hit, and you don't burn your lips at the end. It's a MUCH better way to smoke.

@2041022 it actually should be the opposite, joints are more likely to clog with resin from the burning marijuana, that is why a filter is necessary. With blunts you REALLY need a filter because it will most likely be larger in diameter and the heat intensity is almost triple that of a joints. A filter for blunts should also be typically rolled as seen above in the video --> because blunts overheat so much it expands the filter, and if it is just swirls it will open too much. but this way wont!
