  • Wild - on of the 20th century great American pianists

  • I love 2:38 to 2:49. Beautiful moment in the music.

  • he was well into his 70s here, and still played with the facility of a much younger man. The Alabama Symphony in its heyday under Paul Polivnick acquits itself well, too.

  • You should hear his most recent recordings - He has one from 2003 when he was 88 which truely astounds me - his technique has laster longer than Horowitz' and I feel he has been extreamly underrated. Every pianist in a music school knows who Horowitz was but, they may not have heard of Earl Wild and frankly his abilities are on the same level if not higher and he is still alive. I think being an American and also playing mostly on Baldwin pianos have kept him from being idolized, unfortunatly

  • lol hos technique obviously lasted longer that horowitzs because horowitz died before him at 86 lol

  • I suppose you think your clever. I mean at the same age. I mean at 86 Earl Wild Recorded Brahms 3rd Piano Sonata - Horowitz, I don't believe,, could have pulled that off. His later successful recordings are all of fairly short pieces. I didn't say HE lasted longer, I said his technique did. Your charming though.

  • ya i was joking lol

  • oh my god, this old man is awesome! h plays with as much fire as in his youth!
