I always thought a better way for Bobby to have come back was they had to fake his death to protect Jenna and Pam.

Another example of the writers backing themselves into a corner by killing off Bobby. He would never have kicked a woman and her child, that saw Bobby as her father, off the ranch. But with Bobby "dying," he never had to follow through on it; until the ridiculous "dream" scenario. It would have been much smarter to just have Bobby leave town for a while, confused and at a crossroads over his relationship with Pam and Jenna. Then, Duffy could have been brought back naturally.

@MrTonster2000 I once tried to rank the top-10 and it is not easy. Donna Krebs and that Leslie Steward PR woman easily eliminated, but try it one time. FWIW Kristin was hot but still young enough to have an "unfinished" look about her, didn't have presence to me same as others.

Another major point they ignored because of the dream season is the fact that there was some "mysterious" woman (who we all knew was Katherine!) that was angry that Bobby and Jenna were getting married and was behind the framing of Jenna for Marchetta's murder in the penultimate episode of the season of Bobby's "death". The woman who threw the object at the TV upon seeing Bobby and Jenna. Pam's dream happened after that, so they chose to ignore it in this season after the dream.

Presleys acting is sooo bad !! and yer reaction makes no sense vs what Jenna said the prev nite before she was definitely hired as a novelty for the show look we have Elvis's ex wife on our show.."Dallas" was already big enough it didnt need anyone to boosts its interest or ratings..watching Presleys acting "style" she really belonged on Dynasty

Anyone else notice that old, blue car parked in the driveway as Bobby pulls up? Who's clunker is that? Miss Ellie's (before she bought that toy car); John Ross's version of a Big Wheel to cruise the ranch? Maybe it belonged to Ewing servants Raul or Teresa. Never saw it before, or again. Perhaps it was the car Bobby sent Jenna and Charlie packing in after he dumped her after bringing them both to the ranch for 2 days. He's good people, huh!?

It was to help Pam and I stalk you and Charlie better!  You can't get rid of it after you pulled Darius out of the Southfork stables! How am I going to look like a good guy?

What is really weird here and what the producers didn't realize is that if this was suppose to be the next day (after Bobby & Pam were together) then Jenna's hair should be very short and auburn! Just go and look at his "death" scene in the cliffhanger. She looked really hot with that shorter hair.

@OreckBoy1 They dropped the ball on a lot of "consistency details." Some of this is just practicality - actors, sets, attitudes change after one year. It would have been nearly impossible to "go back" completely to Spring '85. Still, they did want viewers to "buy" into the storyline. My pet peeves: Southfork was redecorated the day Bobby died. Bobby didn't die, but the house was still redecorated. Jenna had all but given Bobby a free pass, yet here she acts as if previous day didn't happen.

@TheJaking87 Yes, Dallas producers did make Jenna look frumpy starting in 1986-87. Perhaps they were trying to transform her into some "Earth-Mother" in advance of Lucas' birth. Still, look at Jenna during the early episodes of 1984-85. She is gorgeous - long, blonde hair, stylishly dressed - beautiful. Consider THAT Jenna marrying Ray Krebbs. The Jenna of the the '84 Ewing BBQ/Oil Baron's Ball hooking up with Ray. It does explain why Ray doubted his worthiness to be Jenna's husband.

@Vydio Yes she did. Not only with this sweater in the Texas heat, but her look throughout the next two seasons. Priscilla was not yet pregnant (in real life), so they didn't have to dress her like some hag at this time. Now, later in the season she was very pregnant, but early on they should have kept her in the same stylish clothes she'd been in for three years. Jenna had that botique, so she had better clothes. Jenna should have gouged at least one million dollars out of Bobby - or Pam or JR?

@Vydio Yeah, I guess you are right. She did latch onto, I mean get involved with, Ray soon afterwards. Though he didn't have the kind of money Bobby had (or that Pam had dumped conveniently into her lap by Katherine's daddy leaving Pam's slut mother a fortune, then the slut conveniently dies and leaves 1/3 of Katherine's inheritence to Pam), Ray was a multimillionaire in his own right. Daddy (Jock) gave Ray $10 million plus 10% ownership of Ewing Oil (another $200 million for good 'ol Ray/Jenna)

@TheJaking87 Garanimals perhaps? Probably not since that was in the '70s. Let's see, mid-'80s, so lots of clothes with big collars, big-shoulder pads, pastel colored stuff. The only time I saw someone bring an item to the counter was when Jack brought up some dress for Jenna to wear to dinner with him that night. But that was part of Pam's dream, so that dress never existed. It disappeared with Jenna's sense of fashion when Pam woke up.

@TheJaking87 I know - she was hardly there, or if she was, she was staring into space daydreaming or closing the shop early so she could go cry at Bobby's grave. But remember, Bobby's will gave Jenna full ownership of the botique plus $500,000 (one-fifth of which he requested she put in trust for Charlie). Plus, Jenna was still living at Southfork (why we have no idea) so she didn't have to pay for rent, food, utilities. I guess Miss Ellie & Clayton had to pay for all that.

@redletter2008 There were continuity issues that were overlooked when Pam woke up......one of them being that Dusty Farlow was nowhere to be seen.

As I recall, he and Sue Ellen planned to meet........an arrangement that was made just before Bobby was hit by Katherine's car.

@TheJaking87 Yes, they were. I just watched the '85 finale recently. Dusty showed up at the Ewing celebration party (having defeated Cliff /Jamie in court that day). Miss Ellie & Clayton also had an off-screen lunch with him. We have to "assume" Pam's dream started the night Bobby boinked her. Pam's bedroom wallpaper is also different; the Ewing living room/entry way/dining room are completely different; a nice, 2-story house appears on Ray's land; Jenna's hair is twice as long & frizzy.

Instead, she had another year in hiding, before turning up at Pam's hospital bedside.

@TheJaking87 Good point. That was completely ignored. I think producers hoped viewers would not look back at these inconsistencies or that they wouldn't understand what was supposed to be real and what was wiped out by Pam's dream. I, for one, thought the whole idea of that dream was ridiculous. It put Dallas in the same league as Dynasty and The Colbys (that UFO story). Concocting this scenario simply to revive Bobby was the beginning of the end for Dallas. Their fans are not THAT stupid!

@redletter2008 I recently watched the final episode of Season seven: "End Game".........Check out the wacky outfit Sue Ellen wore, when preparing for an outing with Pam.........Angelica Nero would have been so proud! :)

@TheJaking87 I will need to check that out. I was just thinking how stupid Sue Ellen looked at Bobby & Pam's second wedding in '86. She had been looking much better that season, then that fiasco with an ugly, purple hat! As far as Angelica Nero, someone should have arrested her for those hideous outfits she wore. She was a good looking gal, but those costumes she wore made it look like the Turkish Circus was in town.

I think that statement was true, judging by her appearance in the first episode of Season twelve......she didn't look well at all.

Then again, she had just recently witnessed Nicholas Pearce take a nosedive from the balcony ! :)

@TheJaking87 Yeah - Sue Ellen was "supposedly" in love with Nicholas, yet hardly shed a tear (if any) over his flat-out murder. That finale in '88 was inanane, with Sue Ellen overdubbing "Nooooo, noooo!" over two stunt men fighting (as JR & Nick). It reminded me of Dynasty's hilarious fight scenes with 6 ft. tall men (sometimes black), standing in for Krystle & Alexis (I swear one of their wigs fell off once). Dallas (IMO) went down fast after reviving Bobby from the dead.
