I've noticed that Eric and Phillip (Sleeping Beauty's prince) are the only princes with a name (except Aladdin but he was never originaly a prince) but I'm glad that they gave Beast a name, that I really agree with but I can't remember it now XD but they kept Cinderella's prince just.... prince or how the mice call him Princie, I think thats just as far as they'll go for now. Eh the ages for then is nothing compared to now with 16 year olds getting pregnate and not marrying, why should we judge?

when carlotta says i wonder what goes on in that head of hers in beyond my wildest dreams it's pretty obvious those are her thoughts. you can't have the leading lady silent the entire production. especially with a voice like Sierra boggess. broadway works arounds stuff like that. look at the lion king or beauty and the beast, two animated films that made it to the stage. details are removed and added.
Around the time that this was supposed to have taken place, (judging by the clothes, of course), girls were ofen married off BY THE TIME they were sixteen! Many girls would've had a child or two by then!
One could compare the amazingness of these costumes to the costumes in lion king. Just sayin
