I was 11-12 when I saw this show back in 1990-1991, and it *spoiled* me for most television and movies. Twin Peaks showed me early on that television and movies were not just a means of storytelling -they were an *artform.*

@sindlibtsbles amen to that. I can watch Twin Peaks, Deadwood, The Wire , The Office (UK) and - I think I just ran out of shows. TV is mostly garbage. Why cant we watch good art on TV ? Why do 99% of Hollywood movies actually follow the same basic plot ?

I agree Nasty. Funny thing is, practically every thing else on TV past or present doesn't have that effect on me. I was afraid to walk in the dark last night to get some water because of this scene. It doesn't lose its affect over time either. Everytime I watch it, its horrifying.

I just saw the last episode today of Twin Peaks! And I must say it has been a long and ver enjoyable thing to watch. It's weirdness, there are lots of funny moments, lots of scary moments and its all combined with a great story line, with so many wonderful & different charecters. One to watch! Im so sad that im done with it :(

Yeah there's a reason why Lynch is considered a genius and why Twin Peaks is one of the best shows ever released. Great scene....but so many more could be put on youtube!! If someone could tell me how to post videos with a digital camera I would put some awesome scenes....I have the entire series and fire walk with me on VHS.
