that harsh crashing noise. It looks like some sort of harmonic on the 7th fret, but when I try it that way, it sound like that - a harmonic. What else are you doing? Sorta sounds like an upstroke as well. Care to elaborate it?

youre pinky is really really importand for more advanced playing, i advise by the guitar grimoire- exercise book. its pretty much all scale exercises but it includes which fingers to use and will really help getting a good stretch between your ring and pinky fingers. its like 20 bucks at a guitar center if youre interested. btw i really liked this cover it sounded really good. great song by an amazing band. \m/
