  • torcida split 1950

  • what is this music called?

  • Saw it live, if necessary. The shittiest staging for Aida ever. Singers where terrible and out of role, but the staging, God! We really needed that in Italy...

  • This is not so weird compared to Calixto Bieito's Un ballo in maschera in Barcelona in 2000, where both choir and soloists sung sitting on toilets. THAT WAS WEIRD... this is just bringing some Star Wars into Opera: Aida is Princess Leia and Radames is Luke Skywalker and the dancers at the back are the imperial troops.

  • Certified Intergalactic!

  • LOL

  • This is my graduation song in religion. Whenever I hear it, my heart palpitates.

  • Wow, there sure are a lot of people on here who hate Bob Wilson! What's so bad about this? I think it's charming. After all, Verdi's ballet music is hardly the most inspired part of any of his operas...

  • his music is awesome, I don't know what your talking about.

  • @yumyumwhatzohai

    what is the song called

  • @HRHStewartIIRegina

It's part of the Triumphal March - Act 2 scene 2 in our release of Aida performed at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie – De Munt. OA 0954 D

Nessuno gliele tocca...tutte sue

  • This is a typical Robert Wilson puppet show. Why not just use puppets and play a recording? Verdi wrote the opera and it was not this opera.

  • I agree did you see what he did to Madama Butterfly?

  • is there not a longer version? this one is too short.. -.-

  • All hail Bob Wilson. He's been pulling some of the same tricks for 30 years, and he's still fresher than most of the derrivative bombast out there.

  • As an opera singer with 30+ years experience, I am delighted to see such a creative approach to a scene fabled for its heavy-handed treatment. I'd love to see the entire production!

  • Agree! A Performense withoute kitch, byt so sorry he did not want to shere more with us.......

  • Wonderful Robert Wilson production. Great to see Aida without kitsch.

  • beautiful
