In Sabadell (Barcelona, Spain), the reenactment pilot Mark Hanna died in accident while flying a Buchon, the spanish version of a german Messerschmitt Me-109. Aparently, the motor failed, and he tried to land, but crashed just before the runway. I was there and I saw as he fell on the foot of the track of the airport of sabadell :(
What a great video and a real tribute to the man himself Ray Hanna...saw him fly many times at Duxford ..great photo work and thanks for posting. Very sad as many are that Ray and his son Mark have passed but great videos like this help to keep their memory alive ! Wonderful sound of the Merlin ! TC
Please upload the full video, please. I never had the chance to see Ray live.
Thanks
Brad

What a gutsy pilot..no fear whatever. How does that occur? Wow!!!

I don't know how that occurs? Smart, talented & also fearless. They normally don't go together..thinking & fearless.
Awesome!! Hats-off to the great Ray Hanna!

Thanks! I reckon if Ray had served in 1940, Goerring would have given up a bit earlier than he did. Great Spit pilot, much missed.
