are your reviewing the 2nd gen HD Vado? If so, is it compatible with Windows 7, 32 bit operating system? Can I upload videos directly to youtube after using the built in editing software? I plan on buying Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas Platinum 10 sometime. But I only have Windows Movie Maker, so, can I use that to edit video from the 2nd gen Vado HD. Thanks.
I like the vado but I need an editing system for it because sony vegas 8 and 9 won't work with it. Windows movie maker sucks and Adobe premier is to pricey.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. So you can record about two hours of HD with this ? And how long will the batteries last ? What kind of batteries does it use ?
Hi. I realy love the camera. the picture is great and its easy to use. but one downside is the sound. I cant understand whay the mic sound better then the sounds coming from behind the camera. jeje...anyway I realy like it and it get 8,5/10 from me.

You can get Premiere Elements 8 for about $99. I have version 7 and it supports HD.

I recommend cyberlink powerdirector v8. Its a lot like vegas and works with the vado hd.

I really like your video, has it been edited by a video editor?
mannye1231 2 years ago
Thanks. Yes, it was edited using the built-in editing software, which is pretty basic, but it does the trick for simple edits.

Not sure why my previous reply didn't post.
It uses a 3.7V 1050mAh Li-Ion battery. Lasts for 2 hrs under normal use. I bought a backup battery, but have yet to use it.
Plugs in to USB port to recharge. I bought a cigarette lighter 12V-to-USB adapter for $10 for my car for mobile recharging, if I need it.

does the vado hd take pictures to?

There is not a snapshot mode on the camera, but the included software allows you to capture any frame from a video and save it as a photo.

This is heartbreakingly beautiful.

You're quite brave to film AND drive through the streets of NYC at the same time. Now that's dedication ;)

Ha! Good thing it was late at night. I might not be so brave during rush hour. :o)
