Cool video i'm thinking about getting this camera. I have a cannon powershot that is just a point and shoot style that I love and I also have the flip video. Do you think that it is worth the investment for this camera?

This compact camera is nice and cool!... simple to use and very handy, for me.. this is much worth to buy than a DSLR digital camera. I'm sure you'll be fine with it.

I am on the edge of buying a budget dslr. I was wondering how were the pictures on this camera. I have heard this camera is just like a high end point and shoot but with a big lens. I am looking for a camera that takes dslr quality pictures. However, the HD video on this is really pushing me into getting this.

Overall, is there a big difference between this and a dslr?

well, I don't think so.. I have actually searched so many dslr cameras just before getting this. I am meant to be buying the Nikon P90 but eded up with this one instead because of it's HD feature. Photo wise... it's great.

This will produce great images for you. (Provided you learn how to use it) I seldom use my NIKON DSLR since I bought my SX10is. I'm upgrading now to get the HD video. The lens versatility alone is worth the money! Check the cost of SLR add on lenses. I'm a pro and I say it's worth every cent. Mines on order!
