that movie made me shiver, made me cry it made me scared shitless and i'm and old gore-hound. it was an amazing piece of art. and viggo was perfect. i couldn't imagine him being such a great actor. LotR didn't even touch the surface of his abilities.

I agree it would be great for Mr.Mortensen to read for the audio book of The Road because he interprets the meaning of the book so clearly and so articulately. It would be a dream come true for all fans and for those with dislexia who weren't able to read the book.

being dyslexic doesn't mean your unable to read. it means you find it hard to read. someone with dyslexia learns in a different way than to those who aren't dyslexic, that's why it's hard to read, to spell, to do maths and even in speech. don't be so quick to think all people who are dyslexic can't read, it's like saying everyone during nazis germany were all nazis which of course wasn't true.

i have dyslexia and i can read, in fact i love reading.

I am very disappointed at all the negative projections people say about Mr.Mortensen. As Mother Teresa once said, "When you're too busy judging people, you have no time to love them." & to coin a phrase Viggo used about the Germans in an interview he did on the film, Good, except I'm changing one word here,

This book is really transcendentally beautiful! The way Viggo read this novel is by far the most beautiful interpretation of how something should sound that I have ever heard! Get him to read the whole novel for an audiobook PLEASE!

What a human being. Some of what he says in this interview is so true and good to remember that's why I have it book marked on my computer so I won't forget this interview as it's one of my favorite interviews of Mr.Mortensen. Very good interview. Very short though, but very intimate. Quite revealing. THE ROAD was, for me, one of the best movies I've seen. It really does show how frail life is. How we take everything for granted and then when it all collapses we're eating breadcrumbs off of table tops. It shocked me: No plant life. No birds, no instects. Beached whale skeletons on the shores. Everything was gone. People lived like Homeless people in a post-apocolyptic world. It was a very disturbing and sad movie.
