  • the osmonds are a tragic family

  • Spirit babies and magic underwear! LDS is a cult using tactics of "friending" and such. VERY organised and tactful, probably the strongest and best organised religion there is. My daughter is in LDS and her husband has told me many things within, taken secret pictures and practices. It pretty much eliminates the need of Christ and his death, because mostly it goes over to the guy in golden eyeglasses to read a angelic tablet. Osmonds would be killed to try and leave, don't think I kidding. CULT!

  • Why don't the Mormons just kill their gays outright? Instead we get this dog and pony show.

  • @fdasherv That's exactly what I was thinking.

  • Gravity can be a bitch.

  • I read these posts and see so many pointing the finger of blame. Blame the LDS religion, the mother, this President Monson character. Being that I was raised in a LDS household, I am not a fond member of the religion and feel that ANY organized religion is a cult... but to blame them for someones actions is wrong. I also attempted suicide when I was 13. I can't say it was really depression... but you get to such a dark point in life that you can't see the light, or the love.

  • All you know is how much you hurt, how lonely you are and feel and how much you want it all to stop. But you see no sensible way of making it stop. Most people who commit suicide, never talk about trying it, never threaten it, never give a clue that it is going to happen. Something as simple as a fight with a friend or as major as a breakup or a death of a loved one can send one spiraling. No rhyme or reason. Stop blaming and start trying to have empathy and compassion.

  • Age ravages all! But, in their younger years, the Osmonds were ALL physically gifted in the area of appearance, as well as being kind and extremely talented! I know that all of them will overcome this, and continue to entertain us for years to come! Thank you, George and Olive!

  • Two weeks out of high school, a neighbor who graduated in my class went into the woods behind his parent's home and blew his head off. With a gun that was a graduation gift from his parents, as they were hunters (what a horrible irony). 18 and gone, before the summer even got underway. What causes someone to give up before they even begin? He killed himself because some girl apparently broke up with him. I've no idea as to why Marie's son killed himself. Depression in both cases, possibly.

  • How horribly sad, so young. Depression is inner hell, it's hard to describe unless you've been there. Just a black hole inside.

Btw, religion sucks. Ban religion please !!

  • The church is to blame. LDS puts so much on the kids to be straight, tells them that they will NOT be allowed to rejoin their families in the afterlife, that God hates them for being gay... Not a very loving religion at all, with no place for a kid who happens to be gay to fit in. All DUE respect towards someone's beliefs, but this "church" is more of a cult, and the religion causes so many people, millions of gay children of LDS members, unbearable pain and grief. GOD doesn't care about gay

  • Mormon peeps have a president? Is that like the Pope for Catholics?

  • good bless young lad he is the lord

  • Can't understand why any Mother would tell her Son "To wait til Monday" when he expressed to her that he was upset. and then to add insult to injury, that when Michael called her the night right before he jumped to talk to her, she went on stage instead telling whoever took the call that she would call him back later. Marie, later never came for Michael and yes, you are to blame somewhat. Live with that. And you were also on stage when your Daughter Brianna was rushed to the Hospital..hmmm?

  • What is sad is that Monson is the one that caused his death.

  • Such pain. Thankfully she has a strong family to help her carry it.

  • Poor, screwed-up bastard. Sad.

  • @chesley69

Society is the reason he was a poor, screwed-up, bastard. But yes, it is sad.

  • @chesley69 bastard? you have no respect? smh!

  • i don't know why suicides in america are always some big demonstration. anyone from a country with euthenasia will tell you that it is usually a private thing.

  • what an attention whore her son must have been. honestly, who feels that they need to jump off a several story building in order to off themselves. is it too hard to take a magnum, head out somewhere scarce outside of town, and do it there? no need for the publicity stunt.

  • I feel bad. Your soon is a shinning gold of God. And these mother is a beatifull musician and voice. God bless and protect...I see this special mother in the Oprah sing " Pie Jesu" and is the perfect emocion you give to us...the spiritual presence of your soon. I'm brazilian and sorry my english errors...God love you and your child, Miss Mary Osmond.

  • I feel so bad for her.

What do you think happens after we die?

  • the song is "pie jesu " beautiful song !

  • What was the song called for Marie's song? IT was on Operah

  • @ishbalangirl its Oprah, backwards spelled Harpo (Productions Inc.) The song she sang is called Pie Jesu.

  • I think to ask why would be a good thing for Mom, Marie! Michael was into drugs at the age of 12. He had already tried to commit sucide once before while Marie on doing DWS. Fame or motherhood?

  • This is what happends when you bible thumping lunatics brainwash your kids to only do as a book written by man NOT God says. For all we know some sociopath who had a dream may have wrote many stories of the bible or exaggerated them and now we must live with the rules a guy "thinks" God said. PLEASE.. love your children unconditionally and your neighbor.

  • @Atitoinnyc Your comment is out of place, if someone brainwash people to do good things and love your own life nobody commited sucide, If someone really wants to die, the religion does´nt matter.

  • We love you, Osmonds, and offer our prayers and support through your difficult times.

  • Love to the Osmonds from Thailand. Trust the Lord, God is with us and for us.

  • God bless the Osmond family

  • '

  • awww what a terrible thing to happen... depression is a nasty illness.. I am bipolar myself and when I'm really ill, I'm a completely different person.. no-one is to blame & no-one willever understand why as the person with depression seldom knows why.. so sad & condolences to marie & all the osmond family.. Bless you all XX

  • @fran9860 - what kind of human being are you? How can you be so cold and callous that you actually rejoice that a young man is dead and his family mourns. Your comments only illustrate the fact that you can only communicate your opinions with foul language, proof positive your lack of intelligence. You are a poor excuse for a human being and a ameba has more intelligence than you.

  • Well, just like everyone who suffers from depression, Marie was not herself when she had it. Depression can make anyone act like a totally different person than who they really are & that's exactly what happened to Marie & her son Michael. Unfortunately, Michael's depression got so bad, to the point where he obviously took his own life. It's nobody's fault, because depression does that to people. I know that from experience from when I had depression all through my teenage years. @jdohe

  • @leenbean81 well said

  • Dude - I don't know what family you're talking about, but it can't be Marie's family. Because I know the Osmonds personally & they always express love in every way possible. So don't judge people before you know them personally. Or better yet, don't judge people at all. @JPRamon68

  • @leenbean81 Yeah bullshit, she doesnt show any emotion or pain because shes another mormon asshole.. she thinks well because hes not her biological kid then its not that bad then..

  • @supportingcrew How could anyone say something so awful? She adopted that child because she wanted to and she raised and loved him. God be with their family. I am not a mormon but that has nothing to do with a mothers love. And I myself raised one of my sons friends as my own with no legal rights over him at all and I will tell you if something happened to him I would mourn just as much.

  • @ jdhoe Marie is not a bad mother and she is not a piece of garbage. If you know anything of her then you would know she was suffering from post partum depression. Which she talked about when Donny and Marie had their talk show. She also had other issues going on at the time. Maybe if you walked a mile in her shoes then you would understand her. But do not judge someone until you know them. It was his decision to make and he choose not to talk to anyone.

  • Let's stop berating everyone and just say a prayer for this family, his extended family, his blood relatives, as well. They need prayer and support NOT a bunch of people judging and throwing stones. LET HE WHO HAS NOT SINNED CAST THE FIRST STONE! .......thats what I thought so shut up already.

  • His name was Michael Blosil, not Bryan.

  • @RampGuy1 Was his middle name Bryan? Just thinking....

  • @ais312 It's possible. I'm not sure.

  • @RampGuy1 his name was michael bryan.

  • As I posted in response to another poster, I have not seen anything in writing about Michael's sexual orientation. Nor do I care about it. What pisses me off is that most of the people, if not all of them(you) are only posting prayers for the Osmonds. No where is it mentioned about keeping the Blosil family in your prayers. Marie is not the only person mourning. There is a man named Brian Blosil, who happens to be MIchael's father that is suffering too, I guess all of you forgot about him.

  • jdohe, if you must know (and since you're attacking me now), I am a christian writer & that is why I chose that psuedo.

  • Oh my God what you said is awful. Marie did so mourn the loss of Michael. Marie loves and cares for her children. You jdohe have no clue as to the kind of things that Marie has had to endure. Marie is a very classy lady. May God BLess Marie and her family. I love Marie.

  • Why would you make such hurtful & slanderous comments on something that you know NOTHING about. It is not our place to judge. Shame on you!!

  • @writerforlord I think it is pretty sick for someone to give themselves the name of "writerforlord". Who decided that you speak for the lord? Are you moses or something? Extremely presumptious and blasphemous.

  • One recent article from National Sources states: Suicide rates in each of the four age categories studied--15 to 19 years, 20 to 24 years, 25 to 29 years, and 30 to 34 years--were lower among active members of the LDS church than among less active LDS church members, nonmembers and males in the general US population, the report indicates.

  • @ampeterlin But the suicide rates of homosexual children of LDS church members who are condemned by their parents and their religion is extremely high.

  • @jdohe Where was anything mentioned about Michael's sexual orientation? Even if he was gay, he is still a child of God.

  • good spelling.

  • this is sad !!!!!

  • there is no one to blame my friend, may the Lord bless the Osmonds

  • @loricomp Someone better have some blame for a healthy young man being put into a grave!

  • @jdohe Seems to me he took that decision to end his life upon himself - blaming others makes no sense as no one physically forced him to jump. Judging Marie is so senseless - are you God??? God is the only one with the right to judge each of us, and it's no one else's business what goes on between God and the person being judged by Him. Leave Marie alone.

  • @loricomp I wouldn't get carried away with mentioning the Lord with the Osmonds. That nutso Mormon religion is blasphemous, for a long time mormon were considered terrorists, and their enthusiasm for polygamy (which some of them still pursue) and their belief that black people are demons made black by god, make mormons pariahs.

  • @loricomp May the Lord bless the Blosils, too. How dare you not mention them. What is wrong with you that you rudely ignore the Blosils.

  • I pray the spirit of peace be upon the Osmond's.
