here's the story: all the 8-Bit games were tired of all those new games, such as MW3. So, they decided to all join up, pitch in, and make their own game. The problem was, they couldn't access the real world easily enough. they made a deal with a guy named Markus Persson, whose made a few 8-Bit games before, and they went to New York and converted the Big Apple in to it's own new game, Minecraft. this was why Minecon 2011 wasn't in New York... lol
