your right craig there's nothing in any rule book thats say you have to peel the potatos sorry mate but i do like watching your videos am not falling out with ya lol your cool
dang what kind of fryer is that. how can u put so much fries in the basket and have them still come out crispy and good. normally if u put that fill the whole basket in another fryer then they would come out greasy and soggy
Hey, Craig! Great video, man. Just tried your chili last weekend and it rocked. Watched this video the other night and ordered a fryer last night... I got a DeLonghi rotating fryer... What model do you use?
oh and plus. u didnt do all the right process for the chips. good chips are put in a bowl of water before they fry. helps to get off the starch so the inside is light and fluffy like the restaurants
oh and another reason why ur fish was very bad. u put an EGG in the batter. the yolk of the egg is fat and fat makes the fish way less crispy as it should be.
no offense, but if this was ur grandmas recipe then she must of had a horrible fish and chip shop.

Thanks you for your video, I don't drink beer so whenever i think of making fish and chips, i was so confused whether beer is necessary, now thanks to you, I know the real recipie. :)
Craig, you are a wonder. This looks really simple and tasty. I'll cook this for my wife soon, as she loves fish and chips. By the way, your dog is a beauty.
you are awsome craig !i followed your wine making vid and i tried my own batch it came out great ! cant really tell a diffrence between it and the store bought thank you so much.
Nice vid man, well done. I am chef and an English man. We always place the fish into seasoned flour before placing in the batter here in England and sometimes we add a splash of malt vinegar to the batter this seems to hold the batter better when you place the fish in the oil and why no mushy peas?
But great job and good editing on the film. I give you a 9 out 10
Excellent video!!! It never fails !!! Every time I watch a video of you cooking I get majorly HUNGRY !!!! I bet those Fish n Chips tasted great Craig. They sure look delicious !!!!
LOL! Thanks! I'm sure the batter would work fine with thicker cuts, although I've never tried it because fish is so damn expensive here. I usually just use cheep stuff. I don't see why it wouldn't work.
Har! Great video! I love the spoons, the out takes and everything. Tell David that another David wants to trade cameramen! I'll trade straight across for Bill!
One question, does the batter work with thicker cuts of fish like halibut?
great video Craig. i plan on giving this recipe and your chili recipe a try. i'm from texas so i will let you know how your chili holds up to ours! (should be a good challenge!)
oh, I forgot to add Craig you don't want to use a plastic spoon in a deep fryer because it can melt off the plastic and add toxic plastic into your food.
Yeah, the beer brew vids changed my beer life entirely. I never buy beer atall now, I just brew! And it's great!Fish and chips are a big issue in my part of the world so I gotta try this!
Like the way you think. Don't waste a beer in your batter LOL

if you ever get a chance, try frying up some barramundi fish or maybe some shark meat. Enjoyed with a nice brew of course. :-)

I don't really know, it's so old. Probably a Procter Silex or something like that, or maybe Sunbeam. It's hard to get to right now.

Glad you enjoyed the chili, by the way. It's my favorite food of all time.
