  • I can never hear anything over Colossus.

  • fucking rollin balls to this shit

  • e, e,e ,e e,e e,e,e,ee,e eeeexxxx men!!!!

  • go x_man

  • 6 player combat? bad ass on a whole nother level.

  • I am magneto! Master of magnet!

  • for the record no one grows hair on there bicep like wolverine has here...at 0:23 or something it sounds like something from Sonic

  • ~N!GHTCRAWLER~rulez

  • X-Men is coming to PSN/XBLA! :D

  • @RSXemperor - It's about time that Marvel and Konami bringing the X-Men arcade to home consoles!!!!!

  • @RSXemperor Hell ya cant wait!

  • is the lady on 1:32 bottomless ?

  • They need to put this on Xbox live.

  • THE WWE NEXUS SUCKS

  • don't know if you like it or not.. but can you please add the music of alien 3 (NES version).. that game as awesome music...

  • This is awesome!

  • We were lucky to have the 6 player version in our Arcade...me and a bunch of my friends would spend our hard earned law mowing money every Saturday on this beast...good f'n times for sure.

  • Welcome to Die!

  • I was apparently lucky, it seems; I wanted to play this ever since reading about it a month earlier in Nintendo Power (June 1992) and on my first time doing so I not only got to play as Storm but also finished the game (getting the 2nd highest score; there were all six players active)!

I love how this game (unlike so many others) actually offers an inkling of how devastating Storm's powers can be! ;)

  • This is the game that made me fall in love with Nightcrawler, lol, even if his power was misrepresented. I never played Wolverine after trying him once. Waste of credits with his special :|

Cyclops had a nice special, too, but I was a moron as a child and didn't understand why I had to punch things as Mister Eyebeams.

  • It's my dream to one day be able to afford to buy the actual X-Men arcade unit. That soundtrack is so badass.

  • you could probably build a replica cheaper

  • i remember once playing the 6 player version, i remember also having problem whit a kid who wanted play but the only spot free was the one were you play as dazzler, and he doesn't like it so he stayed there waiting for some of the others to run out of coins, and it was hilarious because he waited so long that his mom come from him before he could play, good times of yore

  • LMFAO! I think the only time I got to play this with a full 6 players I got stuck as fucking Dazzler! That was the only aspect of this game where they kinda dropped the ball- I mean they could've put in Psylocke, Rogue, Jean Grey... even Jubi-fucking-lee would've been better. Still, this was literally the beat-em-up to end all beat-em-ups; after this it was bascially all 1-on-1 fighters in the arcades.

  • i loved dazzler!

  • lmao you forgot the forest track which is the best song in the game.

  • alison blaire...what a fuckin bad ass

  • They don't make like they use to.I miss the old school games like this. working together with people you don't even know to beat a game you all like awesome stuff

  • You nailed it man, it sucks that today's kids will never get to know what that feeling was like. And no, XBox Live is not the same.

  • how fun!:)

  • damn I want this game!

  • DAY-YUM! Seeing them roll six deep like that! F@#$ me, that is AWESOME!

    loved this soundtrack

  • i so loved kickin ass wit Storm and Dazzler

  • First stage had the best theme.

  • "I am Magneto! YOU ARE NOTHING!!!"

  • Pyro got his ass handed to him.

  • WELCOME TO DIE!!!

  • I never realized how AWESOME the music was! I was always busy trying to ignore the rest of the arcade noise.

  • Lol at first boss. All those X-Mens surrounding him. XD

  • ....Why hasn't this been ported to X-Box Live yet? I mean, I'm grateful we're getting Marvel Vs Capcom 2, but damn. THIS needs to get here.

  • I use to have nasty day dreams of emma frost and storm doing it.lol

  • Colossus was the best ever. I just found out the arcade closest to my house got rid of this game. :( i used to play it all the time. It's sad.

  • Who DIDN'T want to fight bad guys to these tracks. It got players amped from frame one.

  • anybody remember how the cyclops and jubilee players would get screwed because they were on the ends and it was hard to see the screen/ control your character? also needs more "Welcome to DIE!"

  • hell yeah that would of done good on the home console.Kinda 2 d like street fighter 4 but have them look like this but better backgroud and detailed graphics for the heros. Also have sum cool other characters in it.Yep I remember this game from Peru in 98,was awesome

  • To this day, I still can't figure out why Konami and Marvel never put this game on a home console. It would sell alot with older and younger people.

  • Ia ask myself the same question... Turtles in TIme became a masterpiece and the best TMHT game EVER MADE! It could've happened the same with X-Men Arcade game!

  • yeah, especially on XBox Live...They already have TMNT arcade game on there, y not this game, or even Spider-Man *SIGH*

  • aaahh the spiderman game was awesome too i used to always use the submariner

  • Yeah Konami only put TMNT Turtles in Time and Sunset Riders for SNES and Sega Genesis, they didn't put The Simpsons arcade game for SNES and possibly Genesis, but instead we got shiity Simpsons game's by Acclaim.

  • Yeah I waited forever for them to do an SNES port of this. They should SO do an HD remix (or fuck, a straight port) for the modern consoles now that TVs are widescreen

  • NOTHING MOVES THE BLOB!

  • fight to the last man baby.

  • This was the best xmen game too bad they never learned from its success

  • You sir are full of win

  • God, this music brings back memories. Great video. :)

  • this game looks absolutely insane

not to mention that theme music was more epic than the shit i took this morning. fuckin love it!

  • I worked at an arcade in Thousand Oaks, Ca. called 'Tilt'. We had this machine, the 6-player version (there was a 4 player conversion mod). One busy weekend, I turned the difficulty up to 8 (the highest). I watched 6 people dump something like 8-10 dollars each trying to finish it. The must've spent 3 dollars just fighting Magneto at the end. Never saw a videogame make so much money all at once. Never turned it up that high again, cause I'm not that mean, despite my District manager's urging to

  • only arcade game i ever put enough quarters into to beat. I was an arcade rat though, every weekend. I was and am a video game junkie for better or worse lol.

  • nothing like 6 person multiplayer!!!

  • Awesome that you uploaded the music to my favorite arcade game of all time. Thank you so much!

  • I dont know if you take requests but you should do Captain America and the avengers (arcade), that was great

  • You probably know more than anyone here on the Tube how many requests I get, but since it's a fellow VGM guy, I'll keep it in mind if I come across it.

  • yeah man lol

I would do it myself but I cant find it anywhere and wondered if you had it.

anyway thanks for this one reminded me of how good the music is I might have to upload it myself

  • That would be SWEET!!!!

  • @garudoh : Have done The Amazing Spider-Man arcade game by Sega yet?

  • @Renegade466 AND THE SIMPSONS VIDEOGAME FOR UP TO 4 PLAYERS CO-OP AND TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!

  • I ben wanting someone to upload music from this game for years. Thinks a lot.

  • It's too bad there will never be a home conversion of this with up to 6 players. When Konami had the license for this, the home systems at the time were not powerful enough to handle this game. Now that we have game systems that can handle perfect translations of all these licensed games, the companies that made them don't have the licenses anymore.

  • great vid

want to chat with singles GL

  • how do you deposit coins in mame to bring in the fifth and sixth players? it only has 5-8 programmed to deposit coins

  • Is this guy playing six players with only one set of inputs? :D

  • I know, it's really funny looking.

    Nightcrawler was my dude.

  • That first stage music is so memorable, I hum it sometimes and had to look it up!

  • Great and amazing 10 stars

  • The only bad thing about this game is this fact that when you use your mutant powers, you lose a bit of health.

  • Yeah, all these games have super moves that drain your power. Otherwise, there's no challenge - you could just use your super moves continuously without dying, if that were the case.

  • The game would still be challenging if the super moves DIDN'T drain your power, since many of the enemies and bosses you fight could kick your butt.

  • Loove level 2's music. The EK EK EK EK EXXS in the background is pretty cool.

  • GET EM GET EM!!

  • HELL YEAH!!!

  • my favorite song from that game has to be the music on Stage 1, from 0:05-1:31

  • mines too

  • It looks like they're street dancing.

  • Whoo! I love Nightcrawler!

  • cool game but lets PLAY DOOOOOOOOOOOTAAAAAAAAA!!!

traxes, sven, troll warlord, lycan and lich

    FTW! xD

  • the music in this game is awesome. almosts sounds like a SNES and GENESIS sound put together

  • i love this game

  • u could really play this with 6 players?

  • IIRC,no.

But I was just playing the game right now,and I saw the Select Character screen is different than mine. So maybe this is an updated fan-made version or an upgraded official version?

  • Yes, you could! There were two versions of the arcade game: one was a standard four-player cab in much the same vein as Konami's TMNT titles. On the character selection screen you then chose from the 6 characters.

The other version was a thing of beauty: it had 6 sets of joysticks/buttons, one assigned for each character. It was also TWO monitors wide, giving it a "wide-screen" effect. I think Ninja Warriors also had a two monitor setup...

It was a thing of beauty...I miss arcades. :(

  • Also, if you look carefully at the action in this vid, you can make out a very slight "seam" down the center of the picture. That's probably the middle of where the two monitors were connected.

  • what system is this game on? i use to play it in arcades, but i was wondering if its out on a system

  • Ninja Warriors used 3 monitors.

  • OMG this was an AWESOME game!!!! I was always Nightcrawler - it was insane when all 6 characters were being played!

  • I remember playing this is the arcade. It was loads of fun. I never heard the music though because there was just too much noise. Goddamn, I miss arcades... T_T

  • hey, for wich system is the game and where i can get it? i´ve never seen before this game!

  • can you read????? THE ARCADE GAME!!!!!!!!!

    :P

  • Ya it was arcade only, Konami never released a console port. :-(

  • I'm glad typing &fmt=18 at the end of the URL brings the sound closer to the arcade. Thanks!

One of my fav games of all, with a great soundtrack. My fav track is actually the one not here: end credits.

For anyone wanting to hear it, search for VIDARX here. He has the song on part 5 of his renthrough. *.*

  • I remember playing with all X-men with my friends at the arcades.

  • How is someone even playing this? It was never ported on any system? I remember in Long Beach there was a 6 player version at the Plaza. Memories.

  • Arcade emulator.

  • hell yea 6 player side scroller x men still to this day no x men game is like it

  • I loved level 1 the best.

  • classic 3rdeye..clothing brand.

  • There still is a cabinet at the boardwalk arcade in Santa Cruz, CA as of around January '08. The sound is broken and Nightcrawler is broken as well, but my friend and I still pumped it full of quarters for nostalgia sake.

  • I wish Konami and Marvel import this game on Xbox Live Arcade or PlayStation Network.

  • aww man i remember this game back in day, its shame it never see day of light on snes

  • Yeah this game was always a six player with 3 monitors it was HOT... I wish I could find it now..

  • i've never seen a 6 player cabinet for this game. this is probably on MAME right?

  • Yeah. Weird though, the only cabinets I ever saw for this game were all 6-player, so either I was lucky or you weren't. Either way, this game always kicked ass, no matter how many peeps.

  • that's true. they should bring this game to the live arcade or psn, depending on your console.

  • i've seen 4 deluxe cabinets. 1 was at a bowling alley in the eastern part of Orlando, there was one at the Polynesian resort and another one at the Port Orleans Riverside resort (both were at disney world), and there is one at the Flea World Arcade in Sanford. however, i have seen the 4 player versions a lot and only saw the 2 player version once.

  • yeah ive seen all the versions in mass i beleive in canobie lake they have two the 4 player and 6 player

  • the music doesn't sound this good on MAME for some reason, did you notice that?

  • here in washington i've ONLY seen 6 player ones.....i rarely've seen a 4 player console

  • here in New Jersey i've only seen 4 player ones

  • well there's plus and minus to both.....6 player, there's more (DUH), but 4 player u can CHOOSE ur character.....it sux seeing 6 player one's and someone is already using the character u want...lol

  • they had some 6 player versions down in Atlantic City.

  • yep, same here in New York. The character choices were: wolverine, cyclops, nightcrawler, and some other female...kitty pride? I can't remember.

  • @fizzleflyable Dazzler

  • Good stuff indeed.
