It seems he is mixing roll into his pitch flips as well as some rudder. With all of that power and the collective pitch range he shouldn't need to increase and decrease his altitude with each flip. I can understand a underpowered/overpitched heli, but this 700 sounds pretty consistent. Furthermore he should be practicing the flips/rolls nose first into the wind and then move out. It seems his stick movements are still underdeveloped. Good heli to practice on though.
get a lil higher in the air, practice your man maneuvers from there. when you get the hang of it , then come down to the ground.... good to be safe in the air....

As a full-scale commercial helicopter pilot of 6 years, I couldn't agree more. Commenting on the color of the pilot is about as worthless as commenting on the color of the aircraft. Neither has anything to do with flying helis.

I hope Opio has since stopped flying beyond his ability and has got some basics sorted out. Some nose in and slow piro's so as to always be in control no matter what the orientation of the heli. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere near that thing with him at the sticks flying like that.
Yeah home boy dose not have the ground work set to fly a heli 3D such as nose in, hover, foward flight and also heli set up. At 2:40 when he lands his idle is set to high
lets just go off that. Somthing as apparent as thats wrong one can only guess what other key set-up points where miss'd. The the best way to learn is the right way never take sort cuts your only hurting your self(PRIDE worth more than money) and ur pocket book. dont care how well off you are.
He obviously is not comfortable with "nose in" flight. My observation is that as soon as it flipped into a nose in orientation he lost control.He just needs to practice his nose in. Nice flying other than that.

There is a well known Heli pilot who has helped many new pilots with his videos, and yes he is black, but does that really matter. What really matters is he is helping people new to rc heli's and he loves to fly. The colour of his skin should not be an issue, so long as he is a good person.

Tuff crash! I agree with some of the posts. You have basic skill but you need to master ALL aspects of flight before you move on to basic 3d. Its apparant the "nose in" needs a lot of work since you bring the heli back to you tail first. Its always better to land and rethink your abilities before you get ahead of your self and plant your machine. "Fly hard or dont fly"? How about "learn to fly or dont fly"?
He should've landed it after 2:13 and rethink his skill.......I notice in most of these crash videos, the pilot has little or no ability to fly nose in. This guy couldn't even fly a coordinated circuit. Lesson learned, maybe.
I'm actually glad you crashed because you are just terrible at flying, and you were obviously trying to show off in front of the other people just to try and make yourself look good.
If i were you i'd buy a decent sim, and stop using cheapy free sims.
I think this is a classic case of 'all the gear, no idea'. Get some more sim time in and just learn to fly smoothly. Your flips were all over the place and could be quite dangerous. 3D takes time and you have to master all other aspects of flight before you can really push it.
I am for shure gonna pick one of these up from somewhere like TOYS "R" US and try this stuff out how much are they at places like TOYS "R" US? And are the blades like rubber or foam so if you get hit buy the blades it won't hurt you?

His money... his choice..... as long as the safety aspects of flying are followed then its up to him what heli he flies. personally i feel a bigger heli is better to learn on and far more stable than a 450 size. As to if the guy is ready to tackle 3D i would say yes, his orientation skills are ok although it does look like he was flying way outside of his comfort zone.
Please practice more on the sim, and remember to get there fast, you have to go slow. You need to get your basic orientations nailed down pretty darn well, before you attempt 3D.
You REALLY need to slow down and learn some basics first. Stop with trying "3D" until you learn some basic flying skills. You are putting other people in danger flying like that.
Also, why are you flying a 700? Start smaller with a 450 or 500. Flying like that with a 700 is going to cost you thousands (unless you don't really care)...

As to if the guy is ready to tackle 3D i would say yes, his orientation skills are ok although it does look like he was flying way outside of his comfort zone.

Sorry for your crash - dude!
Your T-700 seems pretty slow on cyclic.
Please practice more on the sim, and remember to get there fast, you have to go slow. You need to get your basic orientations nailed down pretty darn well, before you attempt 3D.

Im sorry dude but Trex 700 is not for you. Get some cheap 450 and learn how to fly.

Keep trying and dont give up. Lot's of Heli Pilots go thru the same thing you went thru.

i agree, until you can do forward and reverse figure 8's. learn the machine. and yes a 450 or 500 is going to be way cheaper. your doing good.

I'll be 100% honest here (I'm a pilot myself) ...
You REALLY need to slow down and learn some basics first. Stop with trying "3D" until you learn some basic flying skills. You are putting other people in danger flying like that.
Also, why are you flying a 700? Start smaller with a 450 or 500. Flying like that with a 700 is going to cost you thousands (unless you don't really care)...
Anyways, keep trying. Just slow it down.
