  • Funny!

  • i live in the mouth of a homie

  • LOL, is Gail The Snail supposed to be Eazy E

  • "I'm an old gold tooth, and I'll tell you the truth. I live in the mouth of my homie."

    I fucking die everytime.

  • Give me that stupid fat rhyme, every time, describe a crime! god i loved this show, i watch it on IFC now, and they fuck it up with commercials. the format of the show just doesnt allow for ads, with the way that one sketch flows straight into the next. at least a new generation gets to see it.....what am i saying nobody watches IFC but me.

  • @dirtmerchant1980 i am 14 and i learned about mr show form ifc and i have the entire series on dvd mr show kicks ass one of my favorite shows

  • "Let's take it south" LMFAO

  • Tom Kenny makes me laugh so hard (announcer and one of the performers). Thank you for this!

  • lets take it south

  • In the Heights, anyone?

  • @progrockcoffee YEAH!

  • You gotta love the use of umbrellas to simulate the car for the drive-by

  • According to Bob, that tooth was from outside a dentist's office, and was filled with spiders. The sacrifices of art!

  • How great does Cross dance at the begining?

  • I wish they would actually make this musical.

  • The "tophat" singers kind of reminds me of The Hitcher from Britain's The Mighty Boosh! The Hitcher is a cockney rapper!

Cockney is the extreme working class British accent featured in classics like Mary Poppins chimney sweeps!

  • Let's take it SOUTH!

    These guys were comedic geniuses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well I'm an old, gold tooth, and I'll tell ya the t-rooooth! I live in the mouth of a, homie!

  • Mary Lynn's performance is haunting.

  • The tophat singer starting at :24 is Tom Kenny (voice of Spongebob!)

  • I didn't catch it the first time but the 2nd bit with the cockney guy talking about a drive-by then they turn the umbrellas sideways, lower them and spin them like tires, brilliant!!

  • Well I'm an old gold tooth

And I'll tell you the truth

I live in the mouth of my HOMEY!

  • Oh Mary Lynn, you are a delight.

  • Still freaks me out to think that the dude who does Spongebob's voice was in Mr Show.

  • @Phished123 shut up with that shit. Does every Mr Show clip on Youtube has to have a "that's spongebob squarepants" comment?

  • @DaFuckyouat okay THAT'S HEFFER

  • Open up your heart and let the rap shine in!

  • Very funny. Though real rap music is even more hilarious. Bunch of clowns.

  • In the Heights.

  • Ima pop a cap in that edelweiss motherfucking flower SOB

  • Sheer Comedy!

  • Bob's gold tooth part is my fave, but every time I think of this sketch, I think about the hilariously weak-ass "I could...rap about this! I could rap about that!" part. And, like usual, David displays that he's got some pretty good pipes -- his songs are always enjoyable.

  • "Well I'm an old gold tooth and I'll tell ya the truth, I live in the mouth of a homie!"

Every time I think about that line I convulse into helpless laughter.

  • @TomKennyIsLovely fav sketch of them all

  • i could rap about this i could rap about that

  • This is why I hate musical theater.

  • I still consider this Mary Lynn's finest work =)

  • Describe a crime! my favorite line ever

  • Open up your heart and let the rap shine in. Just do it, people.

  • Almost 79,000 views of this obscure classic :)

  • I just saw this last night and kept thinking about Bob's part today at work and giggling to myself.

  • Green Day ripped this off for their new American Idiot musical. It may as well be called Punk!: The Musical.

  • I saw Mary Lynn in November at a John Oliver show taping. She's lost a *ton* of weight. I didn't recognize her, she's so thin.

  • such an amazing video! I think Tom Kenny's part is my favorite.

  • @eastcoastvillian yeah tom's english accent is the best! haha

  • i watched this for the 100th time about a month ago and was frozen. yet again. i woke up hours later in the middle of the night in laughter. there has never been in my experience any troop that did a better job of tearing musical theater to shreds. when bob say's 'let's take it south,' it's just about all i can take. perfection.

  • i'm an old gold tooth and i'll tell you the truth...i live in the mouth of a..homie!

  • Mary Lyn is so hliarious in this.

  • LMAO.

    all i can say!

  • So true in so many ways.

  • 1:05 Love it,........"let's take it south"

  • This is probably the funniest thing I've ever seeb.

  • funniest thing I've ever seen, too.

  • this is by far the best youtube video ever haha

  • Comment removed

  • Still more hip-hop than Hip Hop Nursery Rhymes. XD

  • When Bob sings "homie", I lose it, every single damn time.

  • LOL!!! I remember now why this show almost made me wet my pants...

  • Tom Kenny does the voice of spongebob perhaps!

  • and Heffer (from A superior nick show)

  • I would actually see this if it were a real show...that would be some funny ass stuff. I'd definetley buy the cast album.

  • Odenkirk's gold tooth puts me in tears every damn time I see it.

  • @shreddo72 ... esp. the "ho-mey" bit!

  • @shreddo72

I live in the mouth of a.....homieeee

  • "The fun of rap!!! Without all that rap!!!

    lol

  • "With a mic and a beat, I could get out of this seat..."

    Classic.

The cast was so great on this show.

  • lmao yeah 1:05 cracked me up!

plus tom kenny is a genius..

  • 1:05 lol

  • Every time, describe a crime.

  • Gimme that stupid fat rhyme

    every time

    describe a crime!

  • These assholes got famous and now they think they're all RONNIE FUCKIN' DOBBS!

  • how so

  • open up your heart and let the rap shine in! haha Awesome! Wish it was still going on!

  • i'm an old gold tooth and i'll tell you the truth, i live in the mouth of my homies

  • 1:05 gets me everytime! BAHAHA!

  • :59 the funniest ever!

  • fun stuff

  • Well I'm an old gold tooth and I'll tell you the truth--I live in the mouth of a homie!! Let's take it south.

  • Haha....one of the funniest things ever.

    Truly an epic show.

  • now take it south. lol

  • Bob as a tap dancing gold tooth is possibly the single funniest thing ive seen in my life.

  • It works really well with the banjo-melody, also.

  • With the show's music tunes and costumes, it's almost like a minstrel show without the blackface.

  • I think that would be the only way the show could be funnier. Just imagine bob and david in blackface XD

  • gimme that booming base in your face that booming base

  • I love mr.show

  • I totally want to eat Mary Lynn Rajskub's asshole. Is that so wrong?

  • Totally normal. Buttttt... David Cross has probably done it first.... does that make it better... a little.

  • not really. you have to follow jon brion as well.

  • Odenkirk is beyond words in this..

"Rap:The Musical the fun of rap, withuot all that rap."

  • Comedy Network (the canadian one) stopped becoming a lot less interesting when they stopped showing Kids In The Hall and Wayne and Schuster.

  • I'm just a little gold tooth and I'll tell you the truth, and I live in the mouth of a homey.

  • Yeah, because every show that makes the air is good quality stuff. Commercialism has nothing to do with anything.

  • mad tv is the shittiest show on the planet...I don't see why it should even be mentioned here...except for the fact that they seemed to do dumbed down versions of Mr. Show sketches, and would get away with it because the mad tv audience doesn't know about Mr. Show or any good comedy for that matter

  • LOL, Mad TV does suck.

  • lol awesome :D

  • They should really put this on Broadway. I mean, if Xanadu can make it....

  • Her name is Mary-Lynn Rajskub. She's on the show "24" on Fox. Don't you know anything about Mr Show!??? That's when Lincoln said, "Don't dis muh homies!" Check that one out. Called Van Hammersly.

  • hahahahahahah

  • whos the chick in the wheelchair ive seen her before...

  • That's Chloe from 24 - I forget her real name and I don't care enough to look it up right now.

  • To calsonicSTI

Her name is Mary Lynn Rajskub.

  • hmm, i wonder if bob and dave are into hip-hop...?

  • Ahaha...

  • "I live in the mouth of a homie" could not have been delivered better by Bill.

  • Or Bob, anyway.

  • D'oh! I have no idea why I said Bill. Must've been a brain fart.

  • What, someone made an honest mistake on Youtube and no one's calling him a faggot? Nice try, Internet. I'm not fooled that easy.

  • What's your source? I seriously doubt that. They did old-timey and rap-related sketches all the time, so I think this just happened to be where the two crossed. Even in the case that you're correct though, it's not similar enough to constitute a rip-off.

When was the gangsta shop quartet sketch aired anyway?

  • I didn't say it was a rip off. I said that it was inspired by Mad Tv's "Gansta Shop Quartet" which aired in 1996.

  • @HomunConlus Mr. Show S2E2 aired for the first time on the 22nd of November 1996. MadTV's gangsta shop quartet aired for the first time on the 17th of May 1997. If anything, MadTV jacked their idea from Mr. Show.

  • @HomunConlus i just checked this out, the mr show skit actually was aired a full year before the mad tv skit, well know we know where mad tv got the idea anyway haha, also , why would someone post on a video without actually knowing if the imformation they were writing was correct? then again, why would someone reply to a 3 year old post

  • @johnnymccrowe and THAT my good sir, is why MadTV blows donkey balls and loves every microsecond of the sweet sensation of donkey scrotum against their oh so loving tongues! And the answer to your question is so insanely simple, it rivals the insanity of the Donkey Blow Job i have just described in exquisite detail here for you all (and especially you donkey lovers!) to enjoy! The answer is! *drum roll* PEOPLE ARE FUCKING IDIOTS! Thank you........ Thank you......

  • @drzignot - *scratches forehead. looks down at the ground. looks back up at you. walks away*

  • @johnnymccrowe then again, why would someone be watching MadTV?

  • @HomunConlus

this was years before mad tv

  • Yeah, I know it's nothing to get in to a debate over, but I seriously doubt that anything in Mr. Show was inspired by anything in Mad TV. They are two very different shows with different comedic sensibilities.

  • Mr. Show took primarly a 6th grade humor approach to absurdity which made it such a ingenious sketch comedy. Sketch comedy is now back where it was in 1994-1995 when everybody treaded on weak material. Comedy Central bring Mr. Show back! get the rights from HBO, please!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tornado1994:

Rap the Musical was part of episode 202 and aired November 22nd, '96. MADtv's Gangsta Shop Quartet was in episode 221, airing May 17th, '97. If anything, MADtv made a shittier version of this (still quite funny) substandard Mr. Show sketch.

  • dude this was on in the early 90's before madtv

  • Alll the fun of rap, without all that rap.

  • I nearly pissed myself when she got out of the wheelchair and started "rapping".

  • odenkirk is the man. uh, yo.

  • I'm in a gang of one! Hysterical.

  • Aw, she's in a gang of one. xD

  • this is the greatest thing ever; "i live in the mouth of a homie." its great

  • I could rap about this

  • oh, mr. show
