you wonder whether Hogan started getting booed because he was on screen too much, throughout his WWF run you didnt see him all that often so it was always a big deal when he was on, but in WCW with the Nitro/Raw being on every week it might have become too much of a good thing, I certainly think there are too many PPVs and title changes now

i hated how WCW turned Hulk into a bad guy... pisses me off. he was the epitome of patriotism in the WWF.

@yamachicken I loved it. I watched Hulk his whole career. NWO had me more hyped about wrestling than I had ever been in my life. I had more love for him after that. Hogan went from being the biggest nice guy star to being the biggest bad guy star. Not many can say that outside of his nwo circle. Steiner, Macho Man, and Hogan all that unique ability.

For the record, I agree that Randy Savage got lost in the NWO shuffle. However, I still think he made the right choice in staying in WCW. The WWF would not have treated him as a returning main eventer, but would have treated him like they did the Ultimate Warrior and Jake "The Snake" Roberts. He would have been fighting Goldust, British Bulldog, and Owen Hart. And he would have been doing so for a smaller paycheck than the one he received in WCW.

Savage considered leaving for the WWF in 1996? Now it makes sense that they devalued him so much in his rivalry with Hollywood Hogan. I thought his weekly beatdowns were meant to put the NWO over and that they just got carried away. Instead, it seems like they had a vested interest in making him look like he was less than zero.

Macho man shouldn't have been the man that Hogan turned on Bash at the Beach. I think it would have made sense if it was Sting since he was the franchise of wcw. The original NWO should have been Hogan, Macho man hall and Nash four former WWF big stars.No a single wcw original star should have been a member of the NWO. Also it didn't make sense that the giant became a NWO member two months after Hogan took his belt.

The heel turn wasn't an option for Hogan career, it was necessary. Hogan without his heel turn 4 months after this, his career would have been finished. Had Bret hart accepted Bishoff offer in march of 1996, the company would have turned Hogan heel 4 months early.

yes, people did boo hogan hear but it was that booing that led to hogan formin the nwo. he said himself that he realized that the fans were tired of the same old stuff from him and it was a time for a change.

Yeah, around this time people were sick and tired of Hulk Hogan. They watched WCW because it was the alternative to WWF, but with Hogan there it was like he was turning it into WWF all over again. Everyone was so sick of Hogan, they booed him out of every arena he went to.

I liked the WWF version of MegaPowers,1987-1989 better because 2 powerful fan-favorites were coming together. Here in WCW it's, "Been there Done that!" U can even hear the boos thru the crowd.
