The Finger scene was edited by 4kids to make it look like it wasnt his middle finger, And the japanese Version has Many, Many cusswords in it. The original was for adult audiences, and was remade by 4kids for kids. Maybe someone would want to translate it right, and not edit out the cusswords or lude gestures.

actually in 0-7 Sonic only has like..3 fingers and a thumb in that scene(normally he has five) so he is actually doing the equivalent of using his index.
