@jfsfrnd I know and food banks but welfare isn't as easy in this country....they make people sell their valuables...after you down load all that you own you can get a cheque from them which would never even come close to being enough to survive off of....it is made hard here to collect welfare and they have to then go and prove that they are looking for a job by filling out a sheet of paper where you handed in resumes...I am glad it is that way it use to be a sham here too!

That's your problems. For example if you don't have a good job, or any job at all (other than mooching off taxpayers if your on welfare... Unless you LEGALLY can't work) then that's YOUR PROBLEM! YOU should have gotten a better education, so you'd have a better job. Then maybe you could afford a decent house that didn't get foreclosed on, a car that didn't just get repo'd. That's very true! What people don't realize is that the system we are in, we are at the mercy of the companies who supply us the food. Well to keep their profits up they would have to raise the prices. Is that wrong? Would you do it if it was your company. The real solution is to do for self. Grow your own food. But that would mean that the system as is would collapse.

Our local church food pantries started to feel the pinch over a year ago. A couple have shut down completely. As more and more people look for cheaper sources of food, groups are forming to grow or raise food sources that are shared. Talk to your friends and family and start a shared garden. Talk to a local farmer and see if you can lease pasture for a couple head of beef, share the cost and the meat.
