how long does the prepared bowl of fruit salad has to stay in the refrigerator?

The original recipe says to put in a can of drained mandarin oranges but I used tropical salad just to try something different. I like it both ways. You can serve as soon as it's all mixed up in the bowl! I want to make this for thanksgiving.
