The Bible is extremely accurate, both in terms of achaeology, and the history of the Jewish people & of the life of Jesus, which can also be verified by secular texts & historians of the time. Our Nation, being a democracy, would not have been formed on the basis of freedom, nor would most of our laws be founded upon "fairy tales". On top of that, and most importantly, we would not see the miraculous change that happens in a person's life when they accept Jesus Christ as Lord.

There's no "irony" there at all. Although Abraham had two sons, Isaac, who became the Father of the Jews, and Ishmael, who became the Father of the Arabs, and yes, they are BOTH Semitic peoples, the Bible and the Koran are in sharp contrast to each other, and even a novice can see that God is NOT revealed the same in each. Regardless of whether or not it was "promised" to them, I can't imagine God being pleased with the violence and death that his children have caused by taking it. Remember this is the God who commanded us not to kill, to love one another, and not to covet what others have.

I firmly believe the Bible as accurate. It has proven itself historically and archaelogically. The Jews were given the Promised Land way before this Israel-Palestine issue was an issue. They had it TAKEN from them, and when the State Of Israel was formed, it was a fulfillment of prophecy. I was comparing that incident with our targets Hiroshima and Nagasaki, that killed thousands of women and children with out any warning. Don't know where you got THAT from! I've known many people, family included, that lived through that war & said exactly what I did. Had they surrendered President Truman would not have ordered the bomb to be dropped. What would the reason be? For "fun"?!! The Japs surrendered on the USS Missouri AFTER the bomb was dropped. Unless you can show some documentation to the contrary, no offense intended here, but you might wanna check your history a bit BETTER! (You think 9/11 was a U.S. Govt op?)

Canada was & is a good ally of the U.S. The Japanese were not convinced by Hirosima; thus the reason we bombed Nagasaki. We do NOT attack people who've already surrendered!
