they're luck I heard Hours before this album and didn't catch wind of them before Hours. . . if this is what ffaf used to be I can't wait til the next album. . . someone better wake them up and tell them the screamy grunge post punk hardcore scene is dying. They hit it with Hours right on the head and went a complete 180 back to, well I think you know how I feel by now about this album
Up to now I can't understand all the hype about this album and even less, how people can say that it's their best album. I didn't listen through the songs completely yet, but as it seems now most of the songs lack epic moments that enlighten the fire inside of your heart...everything sounds so generic and kind of monotone...whereas I would say that this is one of the better songs along with "Broken Foundation".
It took me a bit of time but I've changed my opinion. They're as awesome as always. And that's the thing about good music...sometimes it takes you many listenings before you recognize how original it is.
@Shinzoken Agreed. After buying this and lostening to it to death in 2 days, I looked out Mem and Hum and put it on, I was just like wtf is this? I Can't see myself ever putting that cd on again now that I have CDADIC, Hours and This, with all their demos and rare tracks and bonus single tracks and b sides etc. That album is just....meh.
@Shinzoken I didn't even listen to that whole album. But Hours and Casually Dressed were my favourite albums of all time for so long that I just had to take a break. I'm glad that break came in the form of Welcome Home Armageddon.
"Reaching out for something but never knowing what we need, as time slowly passes by grey hairs appear behind your eyes, DAMNED IF YOU DO, DEAD IF YOU DON'T!, it's the age of youthfulness" - pure genius of a chorus
The riff and drumming at 2:43 makes me headbang everytime I hear this song. Can't believe that there are guys that got the chance to do gang vocals on this track!
dont care whats ever happened to this band, ive stuck with um 5 years strong since i first heard one of their songs, and being a lead guitarist i think they're riffs are fucking tasty, who agrees? ;D
@BrandXdude1567 I agree, as a fellow lead guitarist I feel these riffs are very underrated, especially those on Hours, like All The Rage and Alvarez!
If only the rest of my band agreed I think we'd have more songs like these guys!
There are very few songs I don't like by FFAF, unfortunately Front Row Seats To The End Of The World is one of them, but hopefully the rest of the new album is good
@spursdude92 good point mate haha, i was making me my point in overall generality , although this songs quite cool i can see what ya mean. all the rage and alvarez i never get bored with. Oh and i to also support spurs ;). im still contemplating on whether to learn serpents , cause it hasnt quite grown on me yet lol. funny how i used to love them alot more when i was like 13. Now i can play properly though i can appreciate their music more. id like to see whats lined up on the new albumL :D
@BrandXdude1567 I'm in the middle of trying to learn Sixteen and the rest of Young and Defenceless EP. Its quite hard to hear everything in Serpents, but I'm getting there
@spursdude92 sweet dude, will be looking forward to them, possibly getting something out of them haha.
im contemplating whether to actually start making some cover vids soon or not , or whether i should leave it till i have good enough eq. But saying that experience is another key skill as well as your equipment set up, i should start gettin some done by this summer. When i get the hang of that, if you want just msg me and we could do some dual covers thatd be pretty sick, up too you tho :)
Thanks god, they're heavy again. hated tales don't tell themselves, not really liked memory and humanity either. get more technical or whatever u like. just stay heavy. please!
Better than alot of their other stuff.. But i am not a fan, I just think the picture is pretty cool :3

Ok after listening through all the songs several times I've changed my opinion. This album is better than it seems to be first.

Is the song name kind of a pun of All Time Lows - Damned If I do, Damned If I dont?
AcdcForLife666 9 months ago
@AcdcForLife666 It isn't directly from ATL but there is a phrase saying damned if you do, damned if you don't. Basically, you can't win.

@LoLifant i get what you're saying. I love the heaviness they brought back but they're getting more predictable (talking about song structures)

I loved their EP and debut album.
I then really liked Hours.
Tales Don't Tell Themselves was very disappointing.
Memories and Humanity was getting slightly better.
And now I think they're back where they started with another amazing album! :D

@BrandXdude1567 at the moment, I'm working on making a series of "how to play" videos for multiple FFAF, lostprophets, Papa Roach and Bullet songs.
I'm waiting for my amp to be returned to me by my drummer (I keep it at his house coz that's where we practice)
