Yeah man I can talk and I hear out of my TV, but I cannot hear in my headphones. Please help me! Am I using a wrong cable or something?

I did everything you said, I did multi audio it comes out of my tv but it doesn't come out of my headset. What did I do wrong? The earmuffs work.
