  • This is probably why they dont do this song live! Not once ive heard it on a live cd or at there concerts! Those people out there who have heard this song is so LUCKY!

  • @Bugmason There is a live recording of this song in 2002. Youtube it :)

  • Wow, did you hear that???? That was the voice of god!!

  • hes kiding dude, he sings the way you listened sometimes beast sometimes a litle less, hes just joking with hte popper stopper

  • I know Chester uses both Fry and False Chord. When he blends singing, like at 0:02, with full creak-ness, like at 0:03, he gets his raspy singing voice, at 0:05-0:10. But I have heard him use False Chord in live songs like "In Pieces."

  • i can sing higher and much lower than chester, just not with such clean distortion... well not for more than one or two songs before my voice is gone anyway, some day i'll figure out what i'm doing wrong =(

i'm glad someone like him made it big so i can hear it cuz it's exactly the sound i crave. simply amazing.

  • Most underrated song of LP...

  • he fliped me off

  • Best voice in the world

    Chester Bennington for ever

  • wtf

  • HOW MANY DIFFERENT VOICES????!!!!

  • HE'S THE BEST.... agree??

  • 3 voices in his voice ... *_*

  • they are remarkable in every way>>>>>>>LINKIN PARK FOREVER!!!

  • chester have the best voice in the world, and he so amzing!!!! love him^^

juste listen "pushing me away piano version"

  • i love it how he's like the only one who can sing 3 pitches at once ;D

    <33 chester <33 hes unique <333

  • what a great voice. Chester is the only one.

  • anyone knows what this vocal technique is called?

  • @klafsen its called chester bennington...idk why you would want to know, its not immitatable, no matter what you do

  • @klafsen I'm pretty sure it's a form of fry screaming, though he does it so amazingly! It's a type of screaming that's blendable with clean voice, that's why it sound like more than one voice singing at once (the clean, the gritty and the grittier!) check out some of the tutorials online, It takes a while to get good though (forever to get THIS good!) then the tricky part is the blending. From my experience, it shouldn't feel strained and it shouldn't hurt, but it does require alot of practice

  • @HurpADervish I'm starting to understand how to do it, I just need more practice, but it shouldn't take too long since I practice all day, every day. Thanks for giving me a serious answer.

  • @klafsen Good stuff! Just make sure not to let your throat get dry and take a break if it begins to hurt. Have fun and good luck! Learning to fry scream opens up a whole new area of vocal possiblillity and learning to blend it... well, then the world is your oyster!!!!

  • @HurpADervish It's the blending that is the hard part, i would love to have another octave in my voice x) blending in a low octave is quite easy.

  • @klafsen Totally! Blending those highs is hard a hell! My brother gets distorted highs so well, but it's not fry, he's literally belting it high and hard until his voice breaks up. I wouldn't recommend it. : |. Chester does have a stupidly nice high range, and the lows you never hear him sing (like proper bass stuff) arn't really nessisary in rock even if he can't get them, which knowing him, he probably can. The guy's got a substantial gift!

  • anyone else thinks its funny that he's spinning the ball on his middle finger? lol

  • @Powerhhhgame2008 yeah he is such a sexy cutie xD

  • What hes doing is just finding his range. First he goes straight up journey sytyle clean sounding singing. then he goes black metal raspy style. Then he balances them into the linkin park style we all know and love.

  • no.. i remember in an interview with their producer, he was saying how chester could do this weird thing where he sings 3 pitches at once.

  • @xlilcutie93x yeah its on the making of meteora, he is really the best singer we have ever had, and i think he's quite underrated. i know all of us praise him a lot but even so he's quite underrated in the music world, and now known as one of the legends.. which i think he should be.

  • @xlilcutie93x It's like yelling, screaming, and talking at the same time. Hard to accomplish, but easy once you've got it.

  • @xlilcutie93x making of meteora

  • He is AMAZING as his voice !

  • simply amazing i love his voice

  • Noiiiice =D

  • I love his voice :D

  • so he records 3 different parts to get that sound? i was wondering if he used an effect to get the high and low sound at the same time.

  • no if you watch the making of meteora you would see that mike was telling him to try different pitches to see what sounded the best

  • @LostLikeYou no he never does that. His natural voice is like that

  • holy...

  • Love his voice :D

  • O.O

    Wow...His voice is soo amazing!"!!!

  • @SuicideAngel93 thats the true
