I said 'apparently' as in 'non-Muslim people believe' that apostasy is punishable by death. I was trying to say that these punishments that people assume are Islamic are really NOT, because we follow Islamic law (the Shariah), and this sort of stuff just doesn't happen. It's just wrong to be a homosexual (of course, realistically there's not much society can do except for just acting scandalized), but you are not allowed to 'differentiate' between any people because all men and women are equal under the eyes of God. And yes. Saudi and Iran's "Islam" is ridiculously overblown.

I even had a gf in high school was just a normal girl who I didnt know was actually a muslim at first. Towards the end of hs, she started wearing the hijab all of a sudden and her family just brushed me off when she was already 18. That is in the US. I was like "wtf?". Muslims carry that mentality even AFTER they leave their countries, I noticed.

There have been many honor killings cases in the West in the 21st century because a muslim family's daughters were "too westernized" or un-islamic. You dont see that happen with Christians or Jews.

My friends and I go to a good university, we study comparative religion,we study the secularizatioon theory, we see both sides of the problem. There is no reason, on paper, for Muslims to not fit into a Western society (or even a non-Western, modern society like Japan). But in practice, it becomes difficult. I even had a gf in high school was just a normal girl who I didnt know was actually a muslim at first. Towards the end of hs, she started wearing the hijab all of a sudden and her family just brushed me off when she was already 18. That is in the US. I was like "wtf?". The hijab is fine, I mean if its her own choice and not her parents', thats where it becomes messed up. There have been many honor killings cases in the West in the 21st century because a muslim family's daughters were "too westernized" or un-islamic. You dont see that happen with Christians or Jews.
